Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The lobby was dirty and it must have been karaoke night because a girl kept singing love making music out loud. Also who puts sliced cheese on a salad. The sweet tea was also sour it was probably sitting out all day.

Hands down the worst service and food in Lawrence. Ordered what wings and there was barely any honey bbq. I asked for a sauce before I saw the wings and they said there was an extra charge. I ordered ahead on the app and still had to wait about 10 minutes with no one in line. This location was not this bad a year ago.

Decided to go try the new Whataburger today and we were truly not disappointed. We showed up at around 10:45am no line yet. We ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger and Patty Melt, both as meals. Spent under $25 and the food was delivered hot and fresh. The friendly service was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. This is my first time eating at a Whataburger and I was extremely impressed. We will definitely be back.

Order was too hot to touch. I ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese. That’s what I got but it was gross. It wasn’t completely cooked and very chewy. I would not order that again. I couldn’t eat the fries because it was loaded with salt. So the only item fit to have was the drink. total was eleven something.

I went on Monday afternoon during lunch and it was PERFECT. I did not have the experience that a lot of people on here seem to have had. The sweet tea was just how I like it SUPER SWEET! It was fresh and didn’t taste weird like a lot of restaurants/gas stations do. There was 4 of us and all of our food came out quick, hot, fresh and delicious! The front counter lady was a sweet heart and took great care of us! We enjoyed it and plan to go back soon! We are picky eaters so this says a lot.
Update: I went back this evening and it was a total disappointment compared to last time… They got our food wrong. Our fries and tea were old. My boyfriends patty melt was basically plain very little condiments/toppings. My onion rings were soggy and for some weird reason they only put the bacon and condiments on only one side of my burger. Not impressed. It wouldn’t let me add another review so I just edited this one.

This was literally my very first time ever trying whataburger and I was so beyond disappointed that I honestly will not be giving this place a second chance. I put in an online order that said it would be ready by 11:21 pm and I did not receive my order until 11:38 pm. When I received my order, the cashier proceeded to tell me that they were out of the drink that I ordered, and also happened to be out of every other option that I would have been okay with. The cashier did not offer me any other item at all to make up for the money lost on the drink that I did not receive. The restaurant itself looked clean and tidy and well maintained, but the wait that I had after my order was supposed to have been ready was ridiculous, and when I finally left after being upset about not getting reimbursed with something of equal or lesser value, I got in my car and proceeded to try the fries, which were cold. After waiting for that long, not getting my drink, and getting cold fries, I was very upset and disappointed. I got home (I only live 5 minutes away) and I got my biscuit and gravy out and that was cold as well. I had to microwave the food that I ordered that was brought to me very late, and I did not get my drink or a reimbursement. I feel like I wasted my time and money. Very very bad first impression. Im so disappointed that I am not even going to use the free burger coupon that you gave me on the app. Try harder to run a company that the owner would be proud of next time please.

My boyfriend and I just ordered there and been waiting for our food for over an hour. He went to go pick it up. He told me staff went to go hide in the back and one of the workers left. I called the restaurant twice phone rang and nobody answered. Very disappointed with this restaurant after hearing so many good reviews from around the world. Whataburger staff you guys need to do better!
