Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

We always look forward to Whataburger however our experience at this location was not what we expected. The kind lady took our order and was very helpful when we asked if there was anymore sweet tea. She was also friendly when delivering our food. Our food quality was the main issue. My wife and I look forward to the Monterey Melt when its on the menu and expect it to be perfect for the almost $14 meal price. Both meals were room temp at best. The presentation was even worse. We did not ask for replacements as it took nearly 20 minutes to get our food to begin with. We will continue to visit our normal location(Republic Mo)hopefully this one gets their act together.

I waited for 30 minutes in the drive thru for 2 sandwiches some fries and an order of onion rings. When I got the food, the onion rings were so overcooked they were inedible, and both sandwiches looked like they had just been slapped together. I was so disappointed because we absolutely love Whataburger

We have been coming to this establishment for sometime. The food hot, and fresh. Staff is friendly, and clean. I read through some reviews at the places we visit and there is always gonna be an “off or sidway” review anywhere. I have worked fast food and retail and ppl are harsh on the reviews. This establishment is one of the best ones in Springfield and continues to be since we have tried all a few times. This location is friendly and personable. The lady that seems to be the general manager is present and laughing with crew and guest. We will continue to make this our location to visit.

The food here always takes an enormous amount of time to get and is given to you with foods at different temperatures. The service is poor at best.

They have a rude window girl named Cherish. Seriously should consider her as a back of line worker and not customer facing. After requests I was met with her slamming the window. Her condescending tone was very off putting. She was training someone and it was very clear in her “well I’m training so hold on ” that she was not enjoying doing it. She then accused me of trying to get a free drink because they had not given it to me and she didn’t remember it being on the receipt. Hense the well I’m training so hold on. I was asked to dig around for MY receipt as she apparently could not see what she had given me. Which working in fast food I’m aware that’s untrue. After asking to speak to her manager her tone became even more gruff with me. The manager was great.

I will not be supporting this location in the future. I will be taking this to corporate and leaving reviews where necessary.

Sucks that one person such as Cherish can ruin everyone’s time.

Worst burger we ever had!!! Will never go to a What A Burger again. The Burger was soggy, they put like a,half a bottle of their thousand island burger dressing on the burger and they put a big pile of disgusting soggy onions on our burgers, the buns were so soggy from the onions and their thousand island dressing that it was running off the burger and it was actually slimy, and their tea was disgusting and tasted old and soured. We threw the whole order away and went to subway in Walmarts next door. We went back through the drive through to tell them about these issues and the girl at the window didnt care to make anything right. She said sorry maybe you’ll have better luck next time, well there won’t be a next time now!!! We’ve been to several What A Burgers in Springfield and the one in Republic but this burnt us for good. Never again will we go to one of their What a Burger places!!! Dont go here the food is garbage and they dont care!!! It was over 30.00 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 ice teas, “and we didnt even have fries,” and we literally had to throw it all away. It was unedible and gross!!!

Came to dine-in rather late (around 10:30ish) and everyone was really kind and friendly. The store was super clean and even had some cute Halloween decorations up. We did end up waiting about 20 minutes for our food, but it came out really fresh and everything in our order was correct. The manager even brought out some hot apple pies to make up for the wait. 😀 We had a good time talking and I figure their late-night staff is limited, so it wasn’t a big deal for us, but we really appreciated the extra hospitality.

*UPDATE* 8/2 – The drive through is awful! The time it takes, the set up, people driving in reverse just to leave. It’s one of the wildest drive through’s I’ve been in. Food is good and the people are great. But something needs to be done with the drive through experience. Makes you want to not come back.
Extremely clean with some excellent customer service! The burger itself was okay. Not bad, but not special. The fries are incredible. This is one of the cleanest fast food restaurants I’ve ever been in. The mangers that do their rounds to check on the guests who dine in, so always appreciated. Would come back again!

I came in and TRIED to eat here!
I TRIED to order a #2 with cheese only ketchup mustard pickle tomatoe. However Braden couldn’t not seem to punch in my order. He kept trying g to get me to figure out the items I didn’t want on my order. I DON’T WORK HERE. I DONT KNOW WHAT COMES ON THE BURGERS !!!! I do know what I want on my order and I couldn’t get that. He’s the guy in the orange shirt in my review.
Needless to say I DIDNT GET MY ORDER AND LEFT HUNGRY I WOULD RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE

Went through the drive-thru to get my husband dinner after his shift at 2:00 a.m. it took them 35 minutes to get our order completely wrong. We had no fries in the bag. All we ordered was a chicken strip basket and a burger meal. It took them 15 minutes just to get us our coke. They charged us for two meals and only gave us the entrees. And when we tried to go let them know they had so many people backed up in the Drive-Thru Lane that we couldn’t even get the attention of the cashier. Never again!

This review is specifically for Zachary Roberts the manager. I don’t think I’ve ever met a more level-headed, friendly, positive energy oozing manager at any fast food establishment. I made a mistake and forgot my wallet and even though they were not able to accommodate me reading my card off he remade my order when I came back and maintained a very friendly demeanor despite the store being absolutely slammed. This guy is a massive benefit to your company and needs to be treasured. I can turn into an asshole very quickly and he was able to prevent me from even feeling mildly upset due to his calm and friendly demeanor.
