Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This is the quintessential late night burger joint. The breakfast taquitas are awesome. Less than five bucks for a short stack of pancakes and can get fries or hash browns after 11:00 p.m. till 5:00 in the morning. What more could you ask for spicy ketchup? Got that! chocolate malt, yep!! And a crisp Dr. Pepper to wash it all down with, absolutely!!! It’s always clean and always open and always happy to help. You satisfy that late night crave for munchies, whether that’s after a long third shift at work, a night out with friends, or you politely ask and generously tip your Uber driver to take you through the line when you should not be driving.

First time eating here, would definitely recommend. Employees were very nice, Mark was awesome and even made some recommendations because we weren’t sure what we wanted. Fries were hot, crispy, and delicious. Grilled chicken sandwich was great, loved the sauce it came with and the bun was warm and fresh. Great food, with fast and friendly service. Really clean inside too.

Mark the store manager was a really nice, friendly clean cut guy. This was my husband and I’s first visit to a whataburger, traveling to Texas from Michigan. Great food, super clean restaurant. Mark made it an extra nice visit.

I don’t usually bother writing reviews for fast food places unless something’s really bad or really good — and this one honestly surprised me in the best way. There was a small mistake with my order and instead of brushing it off, they went way out of their way to make it right. That kind of customer service is next to non-existent anymore. It actually made my day to see that at least a few people still care about giving a great experience and treating customers like they matter.

Surprisingly busy considering that it is located in the small town of Republic. The drive thru line was full of cars, but the lobby’s wait was under 10 minutes. The cashier was energetic which was refreshing for a fast-food joint. The spicy chicken sandwich and other foods I ordered came out hot. I would recommend coming here during off hours if you don’t want to be disappointed.

We were so excited!
We drove all the way from Springfield Missouri at 9 o’clock at night. Sat in line for at least 25 minutes and we had no problem with waiting because I’ve had Whataburger all my life, I’m an Arizona native and I knew that it was going to be delicious but boy was I wrong!!!!!!
As we got to the front of the line, we heard a huge altercation break out in screaming, because there was a man in a truck, who was super upset that he waited in line for almost 35 minutes and none of his food order was correct and the food wasn’t done well is what I overheard him saying. Then it was our turn We got our food and just look at the pictures. It is not worth it to go to this Whataburger. $40!!! $40 for what old oily burnt fries and mustard burgers with bad vegetables inside???
You’re wasting your time you’re wasting your money this staff does not care about their job. They only had one young girl outside, working both sides of the drive-through by herself in the freezing cold WHILE EVERYONE else stood around the drive-through window and chatted and played AROUND which you could clearly see through their drive-through widow. Its just pathetic. I just feel like if you don’t wanna represent the company properly just don’t work there. It’s as simple as that I will never ever take time out of my life to go to Whataburger again and waste my hard earned money. At least not in REPUBLIC WHERE THEY SMEAR CRAZY AMOUNTS OF MUSTARD IN YOUR BURGER AND MAKE YOUR STOMACH ACHE BAD.

Ive been to Whatburgers all over the country and was excited when Missouri started getting franchises. This location is great with super friendly workers and the manager is super nice. They usually get the food orders spot on but on slim occasion there is an item missing from the order but theu always correct is super fast. This only happens when they are super busy which is often. On a plus note, rhey made me a custom order Dr. Pepper shake in the middle of the Banana Shake promotion by special request when they didnt show it on the menu as they had some remaining syrup. The place is usually clean and pretty fast service as well. I went during the mad rush Grand Opening and it was crazy but not too bad of a wait these days and usually get right in and out. Overall a great place to grab a bit to eat.

The service was amazing, the food was delicious and hot like you would expect from a Whataburger. The store was new and clean. My only complaint was the the sweet tea was nowhere near Whataburger Sweet. Overall was a great experience! Great to have a place in town open 24 hours.

We ordered a #2 with cheese meal. I was upcharged .75 x 2. I received a #1 with no cheese. Make sure you check your meal before you leave. The staff was horseplaying when we pulled up to the window and they pushed us forward to wait for the meal. We didn’t realize the error until we got home and didn’t have time to return and get the correct order. Verying frustrating.
