Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Because what shows up at your table isn’t a burger — it’s a handcrafted masterpiece that clearly went to finishing school. Perfectly stacked, ridiculously juicy, and built like it has something to prove. One bite in and you’ll wonder why you ever settled for drive-thru mediocrity.
And the fries? Golden, crispy, and seasoned with the exact amount of salt that makes you say, “Okay… who’s back there paying this much attention?”
The service is next level. They don’t just check on you — they spoil you. Attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You feel less like a customer and more like royalty who casually decided to grab a burger.
Bottom line: come hungry, come humble, and prepare to have your burger standards permanently ruined.
If you’re not in a hurry, then I recommend Whataburger for you. It’s so good!
We were heading to the Opry Resort for an event and stopped by this location. It had been a while, so we decided to go through the drive-thru and grab some food. It was around 10:30, and there was literally only one car waiting in the drive-thru.
We placed our order and waited. It took 15–18 minutes to get our food. The staff never checked on us or said anything about the long wait. Finally, someone brought out our food and apologized. I asked if everything was in the bag, and they said yes, so we left since we were already running late.
Guess what? The food wasn’t hot enough to justify that long of a wait. I asked for spicy ketchup, but they only gave regular ketchup. On top of that, the cheese wasn’t even melted. It wasn’t cold, but it definitely wasn’t warm food either.
This just reminded me that Whataburger is just a regular franchise, not a unique place like In-N-Out or Shake Shack. If you’re a super fan of this burger, then sure—I won’t stop you from waiting for it. But if you’ve never tried it, you’re not missing anything. Seriously, nothing special.
If you’re going to try Whataburger, do it in Texas or Florida—not this location, for sure.
PS: Whataburgers are bigger than Wendy’s or Mc Burger.
