Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I must say this particular day was great, the customer service was great she was very sweet gave me plenty of condiments, also my food was soooo fresh. The chili cheese fries is the bomb omg the chili is real chili and the shred it cheese makes it a great combination. I must say I will return before it’s gone back off the menu

It’s not that I think this is a bad Whataburger, but rather I feel a bit bitter that I’ve been fooled into thinking this is competitive in terms of quality and taste. Truthfully, this is a half step above a Burger King, or more accurately neck and neck with an Arby’s. Both incredibly bland establishments who have exceptionally effective marketing. Personally, I don’t DISLIKE Arby’s, but I’ve never willingly sought one out, because there’s just better things you can get for the price.

I’ve always liked the food. Decent quality food. SERVICE has always been the worst at this location. Oder was taken at 9:19am, we had to go and get our food from the line. Not that they were busy, but one employee decided to take a break while 5 people in the dining room we’re waiting for their food.

Waited almost 30 minutes without getting my order from inside. No other customers waiting. Seems like they served every drive-through before getting to me.

They make you wait 30 mins in line just to make you wait another 15 to get food. They make you burn more in gas than what it’s worth. Better food else we’re and faster. Don’t go here

Makes me angry that they stopped serving their best menu item, “Mushroom and Swiss burger”. On this visit the buns were a little old. Restaurant was very clean and service was great.

I paid thirteen dollars and change for a dry, hard chicken sandwich and a handful of fries, when I asked for some ranch sauce I was told that it would be an additional sixty-five cents. This reminds me of when, many years ago, I had bought a new truck in Florida and was told that the bumper was extra. Ridiculous! Don’t nickel & dime me.
