Whataburger

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

This was our first visit to Whataburger as there is not one in our state. It was great! Our family of 4 ate for less than $45. We all had meals with a large burger, fries and a really big drink. My son and I really liked the spicy ketchup.

Grilled chicken is decent but I wanted to try a burger tonight. Service is ok at best other nights. But someone looked at this and sent it out… they weren’t even busy. It honestly would’ve been better if they just slapped cold regular buns on it.

Evelyn’s customer service is on point. She was so sweet and got our customized burgers 100% correct. The gal who brought us our food was so sweet, too. And props to the cooks; was a great experience.

Rude disgusting tattoo’d up mask-wearing female manager and female staff can’t offer cream or sugar for my coffee in the Drive-Thru, and then catch an attitude when I ask for it. The manager was so ugly and provoking that I won’t be back. I will skip Whataburger next time wherever I am too.

Have to say this one to us is the best. Left the one on Mary Esther asking for my money back because they had our food wrong again and argued saying what we got is what we ordered. Then she went back to the cook and said my order wrong again. This one on Eglin is always great with their staff and food. Thank you guys.

I was overheated and needed to cool down so we swung through the drive thru and got two large ice waters and two large shakes to help cool us down. 2 large shakes cost $10 ish. Yieee… Inflation, right?

I used to like this place a lot until this happened. I waited in line for over 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches, and there were only 2 people ahead of me. While i was in line, i saw a girl through the window eating people’s fries out of their orders. I took pictures and a video. She was licking all over her fingers and using her phone while touching people’s food. I also asked for sweet tea.. It was watered down nonsense. When i told the kid in the window, he gave me an attitude and gave me a “tea” so sweet that it made my damn jaw lock up, and trust me.. Im from the south. I like some sweet, sugary tea. I called the manager up and told her about the girl eating peoples food and licking her fingers. Apparently that was the girls first day at work and would get a talking to. After over an hour of waiting and seeing massive health code violations, i got a free brownie…. Im never going back there again, which is a damn shame.

For the most part , I choose this store over the miracle strip store. I spend quite a bit of money here every other day. But lately Rose Magdua has a nasty attitude when speaking to customers as if she’s fed up with dealing with customers. As a high up position, you’d think she’d be a better role model for her fellow employees. Your tone is everything. Don’t like your job, find something where you are not in customer service.

Best hamburger in the fast-food chain world. I get the brioche with extra mustard number 1. The Fortwalton beach store does it right. I do not normally rate fast-food chains. I do recommend this place

So not sure what the big fanfare around Whataburger is? I felt the same way about In & Out burger. It’s just okay, but not enough to distinguish itself from McDonald’s or Burger King. Their spicy chicken was not that good, like at all. Their double burger was huge, I’ll give them that. But taste wise, may as well have been McDonald’s or BK. Fries were okay, a little thin and very salty. Staff was very nice and friendly.
