Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Dine in was open and staffed thank goodness. Stopped here on our way back to Alabama. The gentleman that waited on us was very pleasant and polite. Not too long of a wait to get our food, fresh and hot. Everything tasted pretty good however the sandwiches were very ugly and almost made me want to not take pictures for the review. But looks can and was deceiving because everything was delicious.

This place is absolutely awful, I haven’t once been in here and had my order taken by someone without a bad attitude. The food tastes like burnt grease. Floors are nasty, and so is the soda machine area, I’d hate to know what the kitchen looks like. Not to mention it takes 45 minutes everytime I stop here to order.

1st time here. Place was dirty and slow. Took almost 30 mins to get our food. Burger and chicken tenders were good but a fly landed on my wife’s salad and stuck in the ranch that came in a cup. Walked out and continued our trip south.

It’s really gone down hill. Nothing about my meal was enjoyable. The drive thru took forever despite them not being busy. The fries were old and stale. Gravy cold. Root beer was syrup. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. What I got was a brioche top, whatasauce, shredded lettuce, tomato, pitiful burger patty, pickles, mustard, and a regular bun top. A Frankenstein something that was not what I ordered or wanted.

Food is always good at a whataburger. No matter which one I have been to, it’s pretty consistent on taste and quality, so no complaints there. The price is a little more than a national chain burger fast food spot, but due to the food completely worth it, in my opinion. Where all places differ and this one is no exception is location and employees. Location has a lot to do with the type and quality of employees. This location can’t help that and is working with what they have. With all that said, the place was crowded, not clean, and had flies flying around inside. Planning ahead for lunch crowd and putting extra employees on the schedule for that and cleaning should cross a managers mind.

Not a bad place to stop and get some food. Seems like they knew how to cook. My only issue was it wasn’t clean cups everywhere, spilled drinks all over the floor, napkins all over just didn’t seem very clean to me.
