Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Food was excellent, service was depressing and the restaurant itself was disgusting. Not one clean table, they were out of tea and no one cared when I told them. They were out of several fountail drinks and ice from one dispenser. No napkins when I wanted to try and clean a table for us to sit at and again no one care when I tried to get their attention that ai was in need of some. We made due, ate our meal quickly and got the hell outta there. I would recommend the drive thru 100% bc the food was fresh, made to order & very delish.

This Whataburger is painfully slow—so slow, it’s embarrassing to call it fast food. The prices are high, which only makes the wait worse. But what really pushes you over the edge is finally getting your food—only for it to be less than hot after all that time. When you wait that long and pay that much, cold food is infuriating. If they can’t fix the speed or cost, they should at least serve it hot.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Whataburger. It was very obvious that the crew was struggling from the time we walked into the place. You needed a code from the staff just to use the bathroom, which wasn’t clean at all. Food took 30 minutes, and they got our order wrong. But, knowing how long we waited for food, there was no way we were going to ask them to fix it. The restaurant itself was also outdated with cracks in the booth seats and seats falling apart. I do not recommend this place!

It is almost 2 o’clock in the morning. I’ve been waiting on my order for about 10 minutes. No big deal. Two stars for service only due to the worker explained why they told me the wrong price at the drive thru vs the window.
I requested grilled onions, I got onions so raw they barely made it to the chopping board between the farm and my burger.
Atmosphere was slightly post apocalyptic due to the location and broken pavement. The lack of a need to use their first window to collect the payment may be to make the process easier, or because the window no longer functions. ♂️

More often than not, when you order a large fry you’re given a medium amount of fries in a large container. Usually I catch it and am given an attitude about it while they swap it out and fill up the large correctly. I’m not one to complain but asking for a large means I want a large.
