Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

The employees here are super kind and the food is really good. It’s in its own category. It’s hard to believe this is fast food

I was having a difficult time with a door dash order that was wrong. But Keshon at this location took the time to help me fix my order. And after a long frustrating day when you just want to eat dinner it meant the world to me. Thank you so much Keshon. You made my Whataburger experience great.

Horrible experience,I wasn’t going to leave a review but after spending 40.00 on an online order I got to. Meat was hard on my wife’s burger along with no pickles like I ordered.
I ordered 2 fajita tacos one was right but they didnt bother telling me they had no more tortillas until I picked up my order. So I had to go to publix across the street and buy a pack of tortillas and add more time for my food and my wifes to get cold. Had to get them to put my chicken patty in a bowl. Only thing that was right was the damn drinks and apple pies.I guess its a sign for me to eat better so thx,you guys have motivated me to end fast food for a while. No one gives a shit anymore about doing there job or informing ppI of issues happening I can see why they are going to let robots replace alot of ppl soon. HORRIBLE!!

The food at the 9th Ave location tastes better to me than the other locations I have tried in Pensacola.
I would like to thank the the manager who had just come on duty around 9:30 PM in helping me with my order tonight. I didn’t get his name.

I’m sure they have better days than I experienced.. It was hard for me to understand anything the person on the drive thru speaker said. I asked for mayo instead of mustard on a #1 burger. They gave me both. The drive thru was very crowded, and the second lane was stalled and backed up over someone who got out to take their order back inside. The mustard ruined my sandwich, and I don’t live close enough for a return. The fries taste like rubber. The lemonade was great, though. I don’t think I’ll go back, but I still recommend you give them a try.

I tried this location because it’s my first time I’ve ever been to one after hearing so much about them. The service went superb and the cashier had a lovely voice over the intercom. The food only disappointed me because I’ve heard such praise from others and it ultimately ended up being rather… meh. It’s a slight step above your run-of-the-mill fast food choices, but the taste and quality was just that of a slightly elevated McDonalds. I will admit that this does feel like it’d be a perfect hangover meal.

I got one of their pico digalo burgers. It was pretty good. It had some distinct flavors and not the usual Whataburger. Fries could have been a little bit warmer, though. Would have taken a picture, but I ate it too fast. Maybe next time. This location was pretty fast, though. At least I didn’t have to wait twenty minutes like Gulf Breeze.

If you are on your lunch break or on ANY kind of time schedule then DO NOT eat here. I spent 15 minutes in the drive thru yesterday and still didn’t get my meal. I ended up just driving off without it. I couldn’t wait any longer.

I usually enjoy Whataburger, but this visit was very disappointing. My order was completely wrong — I asked for no raw onions and for them to be grilled instead, but my burger came with a large pile of raw onions. The drink size I received was also incorrect, and they didn’t include the spicy ketchup I specifically requested.
When I brought it to the staff’s attention, they seemed annoyed and acted like fixing the issue was a hassle. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect good customer service and attention to detail. I really hope management can work on improving communication and customer care at this location.

I’m sitting here trying to eat my meal but it’s kinda of hard to enjoy it with two women, one in uniform and the other not but has made it known she works here, both I assume are in leadership roles, talking loudly. They have discussed the lack of management leadership, the special privileges given to some over others, one even went into the fact that a family member is “hacking up mucus”. I am sitting at the farthest corner from them and I can hear every word.
Not conversation you expect to hear while trying to eat.
The employees continued their jobs while listening to this conversation taking place at the front counter.
Which leads me to believe this isn’t the first time something like this has occurred.
I hope that management and leadership personnel can get together and work the issues out.
