Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

To be honest, this is the only Whataburger I’ll eat at. I’ve had them from OKC to Florida and the best is right here at this location. I believe Aaron is the one who helps me most of the time and this guy doesn’t get enough credit! Always a smile and a genuine dude. He needs a raise or a management position asap. Always a good time with him taking the order or just being a good guy.

I came in during lunchtime and Fred at the front counter made the experience great. He was upbeat, smiling, and truly treated customers like he cared. It’s refreshing to see that level of professionalism and positive energy. Outstanding customer service!

I ordered from this location two times and both times my burgers were warm and flavorful. Obviously, since it’s fast food it tastes the same pretty much everywhere. Now the service was also good except the line was starting to pile up a bit and the workers were sort of in a rush.

I was traveling North some hundred of miles, ask an easy request. Four whataburger sandwiches. Separate the buns from the beef. Grill the meat, leave the buns, alone, out of their packaging. We don’t have Whataburger were I’m going, it takes hours to get there. Please. They give me the burgers, in the grilled buns. Makes for a soggy sandwich after the first hour and flattens the buns. And since I had a burger to eat there, alone, they brought them out on two trays. I get it, instructions are hard to follow, oh and the whatachick had the sauce applied to the grilled bun sandwich.

Food was piping hot and delicious, but definitely need to be patient. 20mins plus to get through the drive through at 630pm on a weekday. My teen enjoyed the Sweet & Spicy burger and said would love to eat it again!

QUESTIONABLE EXPERIENCE. LEFT 5$ TIP ON ~13$ BILL AND FELT LIKE THE PERSONNEL WAS EXPECTING MORE.

ALSO CLEANING GARBAGE NEXT TO THE EATING PERSON IS NOT THE BEST IDEA imo.

DEFINITELY ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT 🙂

FOOD IS GREAT THOUGH AND T PAYNE RECOMMENDATION WAS QUITE PRECISE TOO 😉

Outstanding fast food joint. Use their app to order food to pickup. Hamburgers taste way better here than other places. If you go large get ready for a ton of food/beverage.

I went there passing through, live out of town so we didn’t know what we wanted right away. The worker looked my friend and I up and down and told her she needs a triple(she’s recovering from an eating disorder) and looks at me and says “and you need a single.” We stood at the counter jaws to the ground. Never have been spoke to that way by a customer service person before.

Picking up a to-go order and it starts taking a while (cook to order so I get it), so I ask, it hadn’t been started yet…but the cook brings out fresh food to THE MANAGER sitting in the dining room eating, while guests are waiting. Bad look.
