Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It was around 3:45p, and I needed something to eat. I figured a small burger would work.
It took several minutes to order because I couldn’t hear the associate in the speaker. It took another 15 minutes to go from the order window to where I could pay.
Once paid, my simple burger was fast to get out to me.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t match the presentation. The bottom bun and the meat patty were shifted about 1/2 way off the top bun, and the bottom bun and meat patty were bent.
It tasted just fine, luckily.
This location runs a promotion for a free kid’s meal Monday through Thursday with purchase of an adult meal. All in, I spent less than $10 for a meal for both me and my kid.
Oddly, his burger had great presentation.
I understand that during your Grand Opening, things may hiccup. That was also a 30 minute wait for burgers.
This visit was my “second chance” for the location, and I’m not interested in visiting this location again.

I had a great experience at Whataburger! The burgers were hot, fresh, and made exactly how I ordered them. The fries were crispy, and the spicy ketchup is always a favorite. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even during a busy time. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My husband and I just went through the drive through for a late night meal, ordering was incredibly difficult due to the person on the speaker cutting us off multiple times to ask if we were done. Then, when we got to the window, our food was made wrong and when this was brought up, the cashier literally said it “was a hassle” and overcharged us for the wrong meal. Definitely won’t be back, which is a shame because their shakes are actually really good.

Visiting from the Midwest, my husband wanted to try this popular southern establishment. He said he was very pleased with the smash burger he ordered…but the chosen ‘fancy ketchup’ as shown on the ticket was more like ‘invisible’ ketchup . No biggie…didn’t take away from the star of the show…the burger that is.
I did not partake in the meal, only an offsides observer (pescatarian) during this snack attack.

I had an excellent experience thanks to Ariel Mcghee. From the moment I was assisted, she were professional, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure everything went smoothly. She took the time to listen, explained things clearly, and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. It’s rare to find someone who combines knowledge, patience, and great customer service so effortlessly. Ariel is truly an asset to the team, and I appreciate the outstanding service provided. They have the cleanest bathrooms i have ever been in on a road trip! This was my first ever whataburger! I was amazed at how good the food is! The staff are friendly and they helped me pick what I would like and to put grilled onions on it.

Whataburger is a delicious burger made when you order. The taste is great and its size is above average for fast food. I would highly recommend it. If you are lucky enough you may meet Jazz. I was greeted by Jazz with kindness and it’s folks like her that makes the experience even better.

Love this Whataburger! I come here with coworkers every few weeks for lunch. The food is always delicious, hot, and ready fast. Best fries in town! Their limited-time menu items are always good and provide nice variety from a typical fast food burger. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and fast, especially Jazz!
