Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

We came on a night with inclement weather and only the manager was here. She explained that she was the only one here and was still willing to make our family of four food! Shana is great! She was very friendly and got our food out really quickly! We go to this location often and it is always a great experience!

We ordered online for dine in. We went when it was NOT busy, there may have been one other table being used & bearly any cars in the drive thru. The online order didn’t print & even after the issue was brought to light…we still had a wait. In total we waited almost an hour for our correct order. That’s right…the 1st attempt at our order was incorrect.
Fast food has gotten quite pricey, a little over $30 for 2 meals. Due to the long wait time, I don’t think we’ll be returning. The food was ok, but there’s no way I’m waiting almost an hour for 2 fast food combos again.
If you need one…The one recommendation I’d make is the milkshakes!

If I could give the East Lake location TEN stars, I would!!! Arguably, this was the best chicken sandwich I have EVER had…so crispy and most importantly, well done!! No one is out here in these Whataburger streets trying to eat rubbery chicken!! The fries were hot and fresh. Even the soda was tasty—not with that weird fountain taste. Best of all, the customer service was phenomenal!! Everything was so good that I couldn’t drive—just had to stay in the parking lot and eat my food!! Thank you so much, Whataburger East Lake…I have been to many locations throughout the country, this location is TOP TIER. Shout out to the manager and all of the associates. God Bless you! Love,

This restaurant was perfect!!! Shana and her crew were nothing short of remarkable!!!! Shana herself as a manager is superb. The customer service was impeccable and the servers could not be beat. We showed up with 32 students that were tired and hungry and they did an AMAZING job of taking on this challenge with a smile on their face and with excitement. The employees were more than excited to hype the students up and take photos with them. The encouraged our students who were finishing up a long day of auditions and they were so positive. Shana came out and thanked the students. The food was delicious and every order was perfect, hot, and before we left we decided we would make Whataburger a tradition. Thank you Shana and your crew!!! Love you all.

I have been very hesitant to eat at this establishment based on the reviews. I’m glad we decided to try it. We came in on a busy Sunday, even with it being busy we had our food in less than 15 minutes. Everything was very good. Now, do understand that this is a typical burger joint, albeit better than McDonald’s and Wendy’s. But nevertheless a better alternative to those aforementioned.

This is the third time this has happened and the second time from having it delivered, but it’s like they just can’t remember any kind of sweet item for an order. I always order 2 cinnamon rolls for my wife and I and it never ceases to fail that they don’t put them in the bag. I understand it’s busy there most of the time but at this point it’s not forgetting, it’s a habit now of just not putting them with orders. If I could just get my freaking cinnamon rolls (6 in total at this point) that would be great, thanks.

Fast food often gets negative association, but not in the case of this establishment! This is my first time in Whataburger, and I have nothing but the best words about this place. Burger and onion rings are delicious, smiles are genuine, tables are clean – everything that a weary road traveler needs!

The customer service is the worst! Jamie advised the staff had 3 days of training and I’m still trying to figured out how that’s my issue as a consumer. The manager on staff was helpful however, Jamie had already set the tone for poor customer service. 3 days of training no days of training you took my money in exchange for product. You open your store for business! So, no Jamie there is no grace for the poor service provided today. Not to mention a young lady had to walk to the board to have me pull forward because the staff was talking, playing and laughing looking for a iPad. I guess no training was provided on the headset either.

Dined in for lunch. Ordered, grabbed my number, and a staff member had my tray at my table within five minutes. Food was fresh, hot and exactly what I ordered, and the gentleman that brought my order made sure I had the sauce I wanted (gotta have the side of creamy pepper sauce). The negative reviews here are unfortunate, my personal experience is what I had hoped for at this new WB.

When I told the girl taking my money “WOW! $18! This better be a gooood burger!
Her response was, “ yea we’re pretty pricey around here”
Tea was WAY too sweet.
Ordered a double, got a single.
Ordered mustard ketchup pickles ONLY, got everything on it.
Of course I didn’t check it till I got home, but the receipt was right.
$18+ for them to screw up 1 hamburger?!
Don’t waste your time, OR MONEY it’s not worth the hype.
I called and the MGR says I can come get a free burger whenever I want!
Sadly enough the best thing was the brownie.
