Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Whataburger in Greenwood , S.C. Opened this week. They still have some kinks to work out but the food was very good. The wait time with maybe 8 cars total in the 2 drive-thrus (4 in line 1 & 4 in line 2 ) was about 25 minutes. But I must say again , the food was delicious. Thanks for All the Hard Work ! And Thanks Again !

Ahhhhhhhhhh! The feeling of being home in Texas. Boy, you forget what you miss about being a kid. The food was good and everything was hot and fresh. I know they are truly working out the kinks, so be patient and give grace on the wait. We had to wait a bit for our fried pies, however they made up for it by giving us another pie. If you sit inside like we did, just remember the drive thru is extremely long & crazy so it will take a hot minute for your food. The manager was very gracious and apologetic. Well done Whataburger..thanks for taking back to my Texas roots. All I kept hearing was the old Mel Tillis jingle running through my head. I look forward to coming back.

My husband and I have eaten here twice now since they have opened. Horrible service. When we got in line today, there were only three cars ahead of us in our lane. We waited for over 30 minutes to get our food and drinks which is ridiculous in a drive-thru restaurant. The thing that we had to wait the longest on today was our drinks which took 20 minutes to get to us. One was the Blackberry Dr Pepper milkshake and the other was their Prickly Pear drink. I love prickly pear drinks but this was not your typical prickly pear drink. It was more lemonade and some red floating things on top of the ice and all over the side of the cup than it was prickly pear. The drink was absolutely disgusting and it never mentioned that it contained lemonade which I cannot drink so it was a waste of our money.

We tried the restaurant for the first time last week. Because it was a new restaurant the long wait was expected; however, the fries were overcooked and cold when we got them. We ended up throwing them away which was another waste of our money. I truly hope that this restaurant improves on service and the quality of their food.

If I could give them a zero I would! I have been here so many times and every time it is the same thing. They don’t have anyone up front to wait on you and it takes at least 20 to 30 minutes for your food. I get my food faster at a steakhouse! The service and management is absolutely horrible and of course the food is no better! I have been saying for months I was going to give a review but tonight has done it. There is not a soul in the lobby but I have waited almost 30 minutes and they still dont have my food ready!!

They do not have their shit together. Drive thru is a nightmare. After ordering at the menu board, pulled up and sat at the window area for over ten minutes, for one combo meal, and the food just isn’t worth it. Workers could be more polite. Everyone is confused. Everyone is asking you what you ordered and if you have paid, over and over and over again. Food was hot, but not exceptional (imagine a cross between BK and McDonalds). Liked the fries. Won’t go back.

Gave this place another chance. Still awful. Only one car in front of us. Still takes 11 minutes of sitting and doing nothing after ordering. WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO MAKE SUCH SUBPAR FOOD? and WHY does it seem like everyones first day at their first job ever? Can’t get the order right when there are only two burgers and a 15 minute wait?! What? Come on…. fast food is NOT a difficult job…if your entire team can’t perform their entry level positions, then your business has problems at your core level.

Many have said it and they are accurate. Very very very poor service. They are extremely slow, rude and do not seem to care at all.

When we arrived we were the only people in line. As I write this, we have been waiting 25 mins for our food. While we waited in line 4 people have left the drive thru because no one will take their order.

The food isn’t bad, but the service is so bad and takes so long it doesn’t even matter.

This is the kind of service when companies get bought out by private equity.

Do yourself a favor, eat local.

Whataburger in Greenwood, SC delivers a solid fast-food experience, though you’ll want to factor in a little extra time for your visit.

​The food here is genuinely good. My order was fresh, well-prepared, and hit the spot—exactly what you expect from a great Whataburger location. They certainly get high marks for taste and quality. The atmosphere was also good, with a clean dining area and a generally welcoming feel.

​The only real downside was the kitchen service time, which was noticeably slow. I waited about 30 minutes for my food, which is a considerable wait, especially for a drive-thru or counter pickup. If you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, be prepared for a potential delay.

​Overall: If you aren’t in a rush, this Whataburger is highly recommended for its excellent food and pleasant dining environment. Just keep that slower kitchen service in mind when planning your stop!

Went here today for first time never again. Started bad for new restaurants speakers not very clear had to go over order 3 times. There were 3 cars in front of me. I watched and waited. As they deliver food in front of traffic. Couple close calls. This is an OSHA nightmare. I waited over 20 minutes for simple burger. Expensive one. When I was next in line I decided was it really worth it. It is a burger joint not a fancy restaurant. So I decided against staying longer and left. I have been to other Whatabugers before food is fair but service much quicker. Ended up going to Chick Filet where they know what service and quality food is

The burgers are good. Fries not so much. Onion rings are good but the time it takes to GET A BURGER is ABSURD. We have been in line for 20 minutes SINCE we ordered. Waited to order for 10 so half an hour total so far with a car still in front of us. Good burgers tho!! Have to work on getting them out.

The workers are so friendly and helpful. I overheard a customer bragging about exceptional service to an employee and it made her night. She ended up handing out coupons. They are such good team players. Definitely take their time to get things correct. Would definitely recommend.
