Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The atmosphere was surprisingly clean, but our dining experience was marred by a hapless cleaning staff member who seemed to be having a wardrobe malfunction – underwear exposed, pants sagging despite a belt, and a cat-like attempt to pull them up. To make matters worse, they were mopping and cleaning right next to our table. The cashier struggled to take orders, and the food delivery staff appeared more interested in their phones than serving us, especially considering the prices we were paying.

When I arrived at “Whataburger” It took me back to the movie that was released in 1997 called “Good Burger” Lol. Walked in to good music. Customer service was fantastic! Friendly, they will make you laugh, while waiting on your orders and make you feel like you’re part of the staff team by either placing your own orders or by the staff members. They also treat the customers like family by showing that they “Care.” The burger combo was good. Well done fresh, hot from the grill , juicy and tasty. Thank you “Whataburger” for your excellent service!

I really wanted to like the new Whataburger on Wendover Ave, but my experience fell short. I asked for a lettuce wrap and was given a single leaf with two very small patties and maybe a tablespoon of sauce on the side — not exactly the hearty option I expected.
Service was nearly non-existent. Two team members were standing in front of the drink machine talking, which made it impossible to get to it, and overall the staff didn’t seem to be in any hurry. The food itself was only minimally tasty, nothing that would make me want to come back.
Hoping this location improves with time, but for now it was a letdown

We stopped for a quick bite on the road and it was just like we used to have at home in Texas. The service was prompt and helpful, the store is kept clean and attractive, and the food hit the spot. So glad they’re here in NC now!

Considering they just opened be expecting a line in the drive thru and to dine in . We waited about 40 min in line to dine in . Overall the restaurant is very beautiful my children absolutely loved the big cup on top of the building. The young lady who took our order was very helpful and welcoming. We tried their triple burger and it was absolutely Delicious. They do charge for cheese like Burger King but hey the burger has a great taste . Also there prices are pretty good especially if you up size your meal compared to paying at our fast food burger chains . We received our food pretty quickly and the guy walking around with the sauces was very helpful . The dining area is small so there is definitely limited seating and there is no outside dinning . Bathrooms was clean and also they have a baby station which was awesome . My husband also ordered the chicken wings sweet and spicy and they were delicious. I love the fact they have several options for sauces , our favorite was the spicy ketchup absolutely delicious and the jalapeño ranch , there salsa Verde (green sauce) was ok it could have been a bit more spicy. We ended up adding jalapeños to our burgers which was a plus . About time they have a spicy option with jalapeños for a burger choice . I have to say when we got our burgers they were huge and superb, especially for the price. Also I’m big on ice and fries and I love there ice it’s similar to sonic and cookout ice .
As far as fries , I would have to say they were ok , a bit dry and cold and similar to McDonalds texture but definitely not as good so I would say that’s the only reason I’m giving this a 4 rating . But definitely come check them out if you’re wanting to try something different in the area. “Can’t wait for the closer openings in my area “.

Can’t wait to try it out. Have had it in TX. This one just opened a few days ago and lines are still super long. Hope they open a location in Fayetteville, NC.

Was able to have time to do the line and try it.
The line was shorter inside than at the drive thru. They have 3 registers open, plus 2 self ordering stand alone displays. I ordered the Sweet n Spicy Bacon burger, fries and a drink. The food came out quick and the employees were friendly and attentive. My burger was hot, juicy and delicious. The fries on the other hand were not the hottest. Glad the lines have gone down since opening.

We visited in the opening week and it should be the best service on the opening week but it wasn’t at all. The biggest fail was there were around 4 tables full of staff members eating right there around 730pm, I don’t get how can they make customers wait while staff members block tables. Food was good though.

was a very thin hamburger. . No taste and dry. Fries were cold. Onion rings were delicious and the apple pie. No one wiped tables off. I wasn’t impressed with the texas burger. Took forever to get food. Not to mention you was hoping that when your food came you could get a table. Not a big eat in area.

New location in Greensboro. Burgers were good. Very weird parking lot. They have 2-3 security people directing to make sure you get it right. Not for me. Dining room is small so don’t expect a sit down lunch until the newness of this location wears down. I will say prices are good.
