Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Stopped by this morning for breakfast and it was so fast! Employees were very sweet and food was delicious! Had the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and the Frosted Berry! Will definitely be a regular!

Did an online order, pick up was supposed to be 11:37p it took them pretty much an hour to get the food prepped, was right at an hour until they got home with cold food. The gravy I was given was barely half a scoop in it. And the wrong gravy on top of that. The workers could not even acknowledge that he was there. The manager rixsa (?) has no business being a manager anywhere. She just kept shifting the blame on others, and made the excuse that second shift preps the stuff for them. Told me of I wanted my money back since it was online order that I’d have to go through their customer care line, or I could come back up there and get the food remade. I will only ever go here on first shift hours, from here on out. they are they only reason they are getting 2 stars. Too bad I can’t add a picture of how cold the food was.

Breakfast was not good. The honey butter chicken biscuit had 1 small chicken tender with enough honey butter for 3 and biscuit wasn’t cooked enough. Was able to get fries with the combo and at best they were mediocre. Not hot and texture was flimsy. Tea had that just before spoiling taste. I’m very disappointed. Was hoping being a 24 hr spot that it would be my go to before heading to work. Staff was very nice I give them that. If they are around a year from now I may try again. The one in Florida and Oklahoma were awesome and I was excited to see they came to our small town. Hopefully enough comments will get some much needed attention brought to food quality.

Hit or miss as to if your order is correct and they somehow have the amazing ability to serve ‘fresh made’ food that’s not much more above room temp. I’ve stopped by here 3 times and each time there’s been some issue with not receiving what was ordered via the app.
I guess the proprietor whose name is proudly listed on the store doesn’t mind that the place has quickly became a money grab spot for interstate travelers to grace and not a place for locals to frequent. There’s a reason that as a relatively new establishment to the area why you’ll never see their parking lot full with customers.

What’s the big deal with Whataburger? The burger wasn’t anything special and both were smashed flat. The bun was doughy. It tasted mostly like salt. I had onion rings which had a strange artificial flavor/seasoning. The drive thru service was okay. Not planning to return any time soon.

I was in there Sunday Jan 18th 2026. It’s a What a Burger. I like the Hashround sticks and this the second I have been to one and this location Their Sanitation Grade of 99.5 I can see Why that is. Non of the Staff are Friendly nor they speak or say hello to the Customers WOW. It’s NOT been there long either. and it’s NOT ALL That either. I ordered an Jalapeno Meat less biscuit it wa alright no Complaint about that or the Hashbrown sticks both $5.76 cool. The young lady was playing with my Order I almost asked for My Money back she was an American of Color with Braids with a Nose ring with a What a Burger hat with uniform. Stupid Cannot Fix Stupid” there was three other guys beside me who came in later. They got their Food first. She came out with nose in the air and Look straight ahead NOT acknowledging I was waiting patiently for my food. The other young was Decent and Easier to deal with she got me my food. I had already called Corporate on them already about this in the Future I hope they have a Future.

I have to say this was one of the best experiences ive had in a while. Davon, and the overnight crew really are awesome and suppe friendly. Ive been to the other locations and can say last night was a breathe of fresh air. Go get a patty melt at 3am, they got you lol! So much on the menu, you dont just have to try a hamburger, everything is made fresh unlike other places! Definitely will be back!

We have been here 5 times since they opened. Being a new restaraunt you would think the employees would be on top of things. Everytime we go they have either forgotten to put food items and sauces in our bags or they get our order wrong. We ordered through the drive thru for the last time last night. I ordered a wrap which was made incorrectly, but the order was taken correctly as it was the label was correct. We waited almost 20 minutes without anyone in front of us for our food.

Don’t waste your time. 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon and I was the only car in line. Ordered my granddaughter a burger and fries at drive thru. No drink. She charged me for a meal which was 3.00 more. I told her I did not get a drink and it should not be a meal. She said it was easier for her to put it in that way. I told her to charge me for what I got only. Finally after a 25 minute wait in line by myself I got a dry burger with nothing, after I had ask for mustard and ketchup. A small cold, over salted fry after I was charged for a medium. A total waste of money and time. I threw it in the trash and went to Dairios.

This is my first time trying Whataburger and I have to say: What-A-Burger! If you like the type of food they offer, have a little patience because the lines are long, but the food is definitely worth it.
