I’m from Texas so naturally when I learn of a local business with the same name as our Texas icon I felt I needed to try it. I went into this with no intention of comparing the two chains and this review is of this place as it is!! I went to this location because it was the top rated in the area and from the great service of the staff I can see why. I will say I’m pleasantly surprised at how wide the options on their menu stretched, and in the end I ordered their top rated food items and the local treats you can’t really get anywhere else. So I ordered the Double What-A-Cheeseburger which was decent sized, fresh, and juicy. For the sides I went with the curly fries and onion rings, which were pretty much what you’d expect. Their two unique drink concoctions I tried were the “Cherry Lemon Drop” which was great, and the “Witch Doctor” which as you can see from the picture has quite a bit of Pickle in it which probably was just too much for me, so of the two definitely the Cherry lemon is my recommendation. Lastly for dessert I asked the ladies working the counter what their best dessert was and one of them stepped forward and said hands down their “Funnel cake Fries” with Choclate dipping sauce, which they definitely need to formally publish on their advertised menu cause it was definitely a unique treat that stood out from anything else offered!! Bottom line is it the best in the world, no, did I enjoy my meal and recommend this place, yes!!

I will always love this place but I don’t know if they have new people working but the last 2 visits my food hasn’t been good at all! I get the same thing every time I go! A fried chicken sandwich with only mayo, large fry, 4oz cup of ranch, and a large witch doctor!! The past 2 visits the chicken was fried so hard u couldn’t even eat it and it’s disappointing cause they are normally so good!!! The fries were very s mushy not fries crisp!! The only thing that was delicious was my witch doctor and the ranch lol! I really hope it gets better I may have to stay away awhile since I have been burned 2 times now! Hope things get better!!!

This was my first time. I loved that I was able to ask questions about what was what and the team workers were so sweet period I do have a question for all those driving. Be careful on the far right? You can scratch your car even if you have a small one. The food was yummy though, and the prices were very reasonable.

Some people compare this to In-N-Out burgers in Cali. I say not even close. It’s a good burger don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t make that comparison. Meet didn’t seem seasoned but tasted well with the rest of the condiments. It was juicy, so it was prepared correctly. The curly fries were the winner for me.

I have lived in Kannapolis my entire life and What A Burger will forever be my go to spot! Service is friendly, even in the drive in spots where you can order! Prices are good for the amount you get and I know I receive the same thing at each location no matter what I order, consistency and cooking is the same everywhere. Prime times for lunch and dinner are BUSY, but service time remains great, nothing over the top on waiting. 5 stars for this place!

What happened? This has been the go to (What-A-Burger) for decade’s. That can not be said any more. The staff is very unprofessional, they will get your order wrong so be prepared. They have went up on price’s that’s normal, but at least give excellent service for the new price hike. That being get orders right and come to work clean. Or let poeple that have good hygiene and give good customer service, and actually want to work for their money and tips. Stop hiring your friends and family and hire qualified poeple. Don’t ruin this location……..

The floor was very dirty with food all over.. I guess they only have time to sweep after closing.. The cashier did not take my order right and she wasn’t friendly. The food was good though. It’s always good…
