What-A-Burger #10 – Explore Cabarrus
What-a-Burger is a childhood favorite for those raised in Concord, NC. If you go don’t be shocked by the decor and be sure to have cash on hand.

I would rate them a zero star if I could. I don’t understand why people are still eating from What-A-burger here. I guess that’s why there is a new one. The women that work there is so lazy in my opinion. $7.99 for 4 wing and some children tater tots. $7.99 We want ever eat from there and I advice anyone not to waste your money. I posted the menu so you can see it for yourself. SMH!

I just moved to the aera and a friend on mine told me about What-A-Burger not the chain this one may be the original I am not sure. The one thing I can tell you is this. I got the What a hamburger it was made with h at b we call Carolina style. From my childhood I have never had a burger better than this in Pembroke NC made. She made a burger to perfection. This is the first Carolina style hamburger that has ever come anywhere close. The only thing I can say is get in your car and get this burger a try. I know you will not be disappointed. You will step back in time to when life was simpler. My wife and I pulled up to the drive in part of the restaurant. The aroma of the onion and slaw mixed together gave me such comfort. I will be back again.

I looking for the Whataburger chain restaurant, but google directed me to this place. Being that I was on my lunch hour I decided to give it a try. That was the biggest mistake that I have made so far this year. When we walked in you could smell that they don’t change the cooking oil much. I still bought a fish sandwich, and it tasted like it was cooked in oil that hadn’t been changed in a loooong time. My coworker bought a Chuck Wagon sandwich with fries and, well lets just say we both had upset stomachs for the remainder of that day. If you are trying to find a Whataburger location Please be careful not to end up at one of those What-A-Burger restaurants. You will surely regret it.

Let me start by saying I love the What-a-Burger. I have been coming here since I was a kid and I am now 57. I went by the other day and got a witch doctor (my favorite drink) there and the pickles have been changed. Oh my goodness, let me tell you the pickles they have started using in the witch doctor and the burger taste totally different. I do not understand why companies change something that isn’t broken. I know I am one of many that go there and this may not make a difference but I can not believe that someone else like myself that has grown up here will not be just as disappointed as I was. The pickles are what makes the witch doctor, the witch doctor, from the what-a-burger. I have tried other places that say they have that drink and it never tastes like my what-a- burger’s witch doctor. Kannapolis is changing so much, can’t we at least keep something the same?
I will continue to go because other stuff seems to be same for now, and I love , love, love the people that work there, but when I get a witch doctor, I will get it to go and I will add the right pickles to my drink and burger, as well.

My friend and I went to What-A-Burger#10 this evening for supper. I haven’t been to that location in quite awhile. We ordered sandwiches, onion rings and Cherry Lemon Sundrops. The food arrived pretty quickly and the service was good. All things considered, it was about what you might expect from the WAB. I’ve been eating at the WAB since the 60’s AND I’ll keep eating there as long as one of us is still around.

Great establishment, can’t stay away from it. This What-A-Burger feels like home, and is right down the road from mine.
The employees are nice, the food always comes out hot, and the service is great.
They have a wide selection of things to choose from, the chicken fries and their house made ranch are my suggestion.

My honest opinion on this place? Absolutely terrible, my first time trying a What a burger. French fries were not even room temperature they were cold. Not too mention crunchy because they were raw under cooked. Got a double cheeseburger and i must say I’ve never seen a beef patty so thin. McDonald’s single burger is thicker than there 2 patties. 100 % do not recommend this place and I will never try again even if it was free.

Let’s start with I spent $63 on some mediocre food that wasn’t even right! $13 for a burger that I assumed was correct…bit it and it had no cheese, the patties were dryyyyy! My son got the ranch burger that was suppose to come with chili cheese onion and slaw, the only thing was on this burger was slawwww! The guy who took my order was gaslighting me just saying yeah each time while I was confirming my items like he wanted me to hurry up. Things I ordered he didn’t even ring up even when I confirmed them just to get home and the food be trash, not as expected along with not what I ordered! I will NOT be back! Let’s not forgot about those cold stale fries!!!!!! Also I waited about 20 minutes for this mediocre mess!!!
