Tasty lunch at this busy local pub. The BBQ and chicken sandwich were both good. Service was excellent. We were fortunate to park in front, but parking on the hill is somewhat limited.

Wharf Hill has some of the best food I’ve ever had at a brewery. It never disappoints! Yesterday, our party of 4 had one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting and our server, Amelia was on point throughout our visit. She was gracious, didn’t rush us and even stayed past it was time for her to leave. I can’t say enough about how delicious my onion rings, fried fish and tartar sauce were. The rest of our group all enjoyed the BBQ, nachos, etc. The beer was ice cold and everything was reasonably priced. We will definitely come back soon. It was a nice way to end our day of Christmas shopping!

Wow, glad I did not miss this place. The outside of the building was hideing the amazing staff and food! The beer was good but the food was outstanding. Chicken pot pie was epic, wife had the pulled pork and coleslaw wantons and both amazing. The salted ham on homemade yeast rolls….. Mmmm. The onion rings are a meal on their own. Come hungry and leave with doggy bags. We will. Be back.

I visited this restaurant today on a brief day trip to the area. It has decent reviews. However, my service was terrible. The food was all right. I ordered a hot tea, grilled cheese sandwich, and the onion rings (people said they were a big hit). I was dining alone and enjoyed the fact there are no TVs blasting throughout the place. I stopped eating halfway through my meal because I wanted another cup of tea. I watched my waitress attend to all her other tables without ever glancing my way. Finally, when she did walk over she asked if I wanted a box, not if there was anything else she could get me. It appeared she only had three tables in the section I was in. I am disappointed with the service I received. I would recommend checking out the other restaurants before you head to this one.

Love this restaurant. Always a great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Service is fast.
The blackened shrimp, fried green tomatoes and mozzarella sticks are absolutely delicious. My husband likes all their beers.
We drive from Virginia Beach to eat there, about once a month or so.

Great food and drink in a cool venue, unfortunately service a little slow, they seem understaffed, but our waitress was certainly hustling as best she could to take care of all of her tables on a busy Saturday night! Very nice country ham rolls and onion rings, as well as caramel White Russian. Desserts are the stars of the show here – white chocolate praline bread pudding, Little Debbie Christmas Tree cheesecake, and sweet cream pie all great, especially the cheesecake, a must-try! Everything very reasonably priced, desserts a bargain, great value all around!

Love this place. I love old building that are restaurants. I love all the rustic wood and antiques that decorate. I had the shrimp and grits with a side of green tomatoes. I cannot express the wonderful flavors adequately. I was nice to share a little with my friend but that was before I tested it.. Amazing is all I can say!

Delicious food with portions big enough for leftovers, which is always a win. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. Betty was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely personable. She made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be requesting her again on our next visit!

Beer was good but the food was amazing. The fried shrimp and onion rings have the best breading! Will be back to try the fish and chips and saw someone get the chicken pot pie and it looked straight from grandmas kitchen. We both had burgers and no complaints. The server was very nice too!
