Didn’t know where the Wharf 38 was located and thought is was the house in the beginning of the drive. By accident I drove further down the driveway and saw the sign by the wharf. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and portions were plentiful. No issues here whatsoever.

Went to Wharf 38 for the first time on a Friday, which happened to be Halloween, and had a great experience. Food, drinks & service were all superb. Unfortunately, this review is about our return visit two days later on Sunday night when we had a horrible experience. It started when we arrived by dinghy. We passed through the outdoor seating area where we saw many people eating huge platters of crab. We got to the hostess stand & asked about the crab and people sitting outside and she looked at us like we were crazy and said she didn’t think that they even served crab? So we were seated inside and asked our Server there about the crab and she said we could not order it because we would have to sit outside. It’s not served indoors due to the smell and mess involved – understandable. So we ordered drinks, which were the same drinks we had on Friday night. However, tonight the club soda was flat and ruined my drink. The glass top table next to us had been vacated & was being bussed just as our food arrived, and they felt the need to use a terrible smelling glass cleaner on it which basically ruined our meal. But in all fairness, I think the crab cakes would have been mediocre even if they didn’t taste like glass cleaner. Finally, just to add a little insult we were charged a 3% fee for using a credit card to pay for the meal. Definitely will never return to Wharf 38.

By now, you know i love dining by the water. I went o Wharf 38. I was greeted and promptly seated. Ashley was amazing. Food was literally finger licking good. I ate EVERYTHING. The steamed shrimp and crab dip. The cadillac margarita was not on the menu but they made it. Thank you. All I needed was one. Gotta come try them out. Word of advice..drive slow when your close or you will miss the entrance.

Family-run seafood restaurant in Deale focused on fresh, seasonal, local dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Their menu is updated often, which offers diners surprises for their palates. Great views of the waterfront from their outdoor dining area. Excellent service.
The tofu banh mi was excellent. The tofu was full of flavor and accompanied by a sweet, creamy sauce and fresh / pickled veggies. The bread had a light crust and a chewy inside.
The local oysters were cold and fresh, complemented with a nice horseradish.
The caprese came with their house-pulled chili mozzarella with fresh heirloom tomatoes. The chili added a subtle flavor to the mozzarella and the thin pulled mozzarella strips added a nice texture to each bite.
The brussel sprouts were crisp, although a bit heavy on the salt.
Special thanks to Brittani for the great service and recommendations for their dishes and places of interest in Deale. Great appreciation to Melissa (co-owner) who came out and shared Wharf 38’s history and background on their offerings.

Wharf 38° is the all around perfect restaurant in Deale, MD. Whether you’re there to grab a quick bite, join happy hour with friends, soak up the views along Rockhold Creek from either the dining room or outside on the porch or deck, listen to live music, eat crabs, or stay awhile and do ALL of the above. The food (and drinks) are amazing and every dish is thoughtfully made and delivered by the kitchen staff. The owners, Melissa and Jay Seamour, their chef and entire staff take pride in your experience at the Wharf. They incorporate new changes to the menu options and atmosphere often to keep your experience an absolute 10 every single time you visit! If you’re looking for a great meal with a great atmosphere, Wharf 38° is the place to be!!!

SoCo is blessed with many good restaurants, and this one has got to be a favorite. This quaint little restaurant sits right on the water, offering a different beautiful view of the sky, the water and boats passing by no matter what day you choose to go. The menu changes seasonally, which keeps things fresh and interesting. The crabs are always quality.
You can really tell the team here loves what they do — they put so much attention into both the food and the people who come in. It’s the kind of place that keeps this small water town so special and people visiting from all over.

My brother and I brought our families here for dinner. We waited the 25 min to sit outside, but somehow they lost our party after 30 min. I got the confirmation for check in, but when I showed them they didn’t have it. We were sat and after 10 min were offered service. The hush puppies were good, but the crabcake was great, when it finally arrived after an hour of waiting. Drinks were decent but expensive for what they were and the wait. Id certainly visit again but only as a date as the price for the wait time was not worth it, but if you can avoid the wait it’s good. Overall the food was good but the drinks were pricey, parking is limited. I wouldn’t bring more than 2 people with me next time.

had my birthday dinner here last week and WOW. Melissa and her team went above and beyond for my special night. We were able to be seated in the very cozy and beautiful heated tent. They let my husband drop off some birthday decorations a few days prior so they can have it decorated and set up when we got there. of course service was exceptional. Huge shout out to Kathryn C. for the amazing customer service!!! Highly recommend this lovely establishment. oh yeah, also, best crab cake around here!!!

This is a wonderful newish spot in Deale. Crab cake sandwich was “perfection” – and that’s from my eastern shore raised hubby. I had the bacon and asparagus salad – different and lovely! Cocktails were creative and well made – I enjoyed the gin cucumber mule. The outside seating area is very nice with shade and sun options right on the creek. I am looking forward to enjoying Wharf 38 often this summer.
