UPDATE: changed my two star review to a 5!
The owner Adam is a true gem. After reading my review he reached out to me and apologized for the negative experiences. He didn’t try to make any excuses instead he informed me of the steps he took to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Without asking, he compensated me for my meal and thanked me for coming in as often as I do. I’ve been back a few times since and gotten my favourite Adam salads and I can confirm that they’ve been great every single time ! Go support Adam at any of his locations because he truly deserves it !
I’ve been coming to Whamburg long before Whamburg was a place. This was mare nostrum before Whamburg and I came daily. I love that the fridges still carry Mare Nostrum items but it’s been a disappointment lately when the last 3 salads have been rotten or slimey. The lettuce will be brown and the cucumber is starting to mold. I’ve gone back in and they’ve attempted to replace it but when you open the others up they’re also going bad. I wish there was more quality control.
As for the Whamburg side of things… their fries are great. The ranch is phenomenal and the chicken fingers are chefs kiss!

I eat fairly regularly at Whamburg on California (uwindsor location). Generally, once a week. If it’s on Wednesday’s, they have a great deal, Wham Wednesday. A smash burger combo with fries and a drink is $10.99, cheaper than a combo at McDonald’s. The owner, Adam, is very nice, and this has been his location since its previous incarnation as Mare Nostrum, a Middle Eastern restaurant. But, I digress. The only downfalls about Whamburg are 1) it can be VERY crowded during the school year, 2) they have the audacity to have a “tip option” for a restaurant where you place the order yourself at a self-service kiosk, and pick up you own food when your number is called – you throw your own garbage out too, and clean off your own table. That’s really tacky. I would highly suggest removing that. Other than that, good overall.

Fantastic place, very clean, great food! I have been to Whamburg on multiple occasions, and I have had the pleasure of having Dana and Zainab as my servers. They were professional and very kind, helped me read through the menu (as I have vision issues), and were super patient and helpful! 10/10 would recommend

Very disappointed. I love wham but this was the 1st time i couldnt eat my food..the fries were cold and hard and the burger was swimming in sauce. I understand it was close to closing but the food is usually amazing.

I love eating at Whamburger, the food is always delicious, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Food sometimes takes some time, especially during Wham Wednesdays, but it’s a great spot. I understand why it’s so busy! The Caesar chix was my favourite thing on the menu, please bring it back! Regardless, I don’t mind spending all my money here, all the success!

We ate at the restaurant and sat outside in the patio area. The burgers are delicious. Smashed burgers! Everyone enjoyed the fries and especially the wham fries, very good. Staff was nice, order was quick and correct, even though we had a pretty large order. Overall, highly recommended and definitely worth a try if your in the area.

Tried almost every burger Windsor has to offer. Wham is one of the top spots for burgers and by far the best fries in town. Their wham sauce is delicious as well !!

We didn’t eat in the restaurant. The food was amazing, delicious, absolutelymouth watering. The onion rings were cold, but they were crunchy and delicious. I will order them again. I also had the chickpea burger and the cravy fries. The cheese sauce was addictive. I dipped everything in it. The food was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant

The best smashed burger and hot chicken sandwiches in Windsor. Always fresh, and the staff is always friendly. Try the cravy fries. You will be addicted. My fave is the Hot Chix, the breading is AMAZING. It’s on the pricier side but, for the premium food, it’s worth every cent. Cookies are delightful, too!
