The reviews did this place no justice the food was amazing!! Chorizo scramble was delicious. Classic Breakfast was really delicious added Italian sausage (spicy ) avocado add, made avocado toast to kick it up. Definitely a must return spot. The Service!! The Service was top notch Amazing. The lovely waitress became aware it was my birthday and gave me a piece of the best apple pie I have ever had!! Thank you

This place is great…although you have to watch their days and hours. There’s quite a few days they close before dinner. I volunteer near there on Tuesdays…but had to learn the hard way that they close early on Tuesdays. Not sure of the whole schedule…but am sure you can look it up.
We’ve been going on Thursdays for the special you can’t beat. Three tacos, chips and salsa, and a beer for 10 bucks. And everything is delicious. I’d like to go for the breakfast sometime.
And Yes…they did need a bit to get going. The first time we went it had only been open for a few days and we said we’d never go back. I won’t bore you with the details…but…I’m so glad I was convinced to give it another try. I figured at 10 bucks on Thursday we couldn’t go wrong.
Well…we’re so glad we went back. Both the tacos and beer were excellent and the owner (at least her passion shows as if she is) is very kind and friendly. Now Whale City Aptos is a go to place for us.
BTW: plenty of seats inside or out on the nice patio overlooking the creek.
And BTW 2: it’s definitely NOT a “Five star” restaurant…but for what they are supposed to be they sure are pretty darn great! Hope that makes sense…I’d say…just give them a try!

Great food and excellent service! We chose to dine on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere there. The portions are big (two of us ended up taking some of the food home). Both ladies who were helping us were friendly and cheerful. We were told you can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime during their open hours. It was our first time dining there, and when the lovely waitress found out it was my son’s birthday, she brought a piece of delicious apple pie with a candle and sang for him at the end of our meal. It was very sweet of them! (No pun intended). We had 4-mile burgers and Reuben sandwiches. Salads that came with them were very fresh (the kids got fries with their entrees and said they liked them). The calamari appetizer was great too. Would definitely return when in the area.

Nice atmosphere and great music—even when someone flakes at the last minute…. He’s better..gonna get his name and be a groupie.

What a serene setting for a delightful fresh caught fish n chips lunch! Bargain deals on lunch specials. Outdoor seating and even a pair of calico kitties that come to visit. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Opening a new outdoor side venue soon for live entertainment. Highly recommend this cool spot!
