I stopped in for takeout after work. Contrary to the reviews, I’ve heard not great things.
But I wanted to try it for myself.
I didn’t get anything fancy, but I paid 16.00 for pub chips and 11.00 for deep-fried pickles.
I have to say I understand the cost of food going up, but I legit got like 8 chips
And maybe a tbsp of ground beef.
If I have to cook myself something after spending 45.00(with tip) on takeout, I won’t be back.

Believe me, I really hate to give a bad review. But I’m too honest of a person. Some of you will call me a Karen or whatever you feel is right. But this place used to be cool…
Why did you paint over the Wetmore/Street duel mural on the wall? It was a staple of the place. I’d go as far to say it was an important piece of history worthy of preservation in a museum. It was always up on the wall in there. And it was a very well done piece of artwork, whoever did it was very skilled, and woyld be heartbroken to see it is now gone.
Why did you take down the wall of bottles that wrapped around the entire restaraunt?
Why did you replace the lights with extra bright LED lights?
Why did you eliminate the 2 booths near the bar? You literally decreased your seating capacity by doing that.
Why did you change the entire bar all around?
Even the floor has been changed. Why all the unnecessary change?
People knew and loved this place for what it always was. You may not realize it now, but many of the regulars aren’t going to bother with it anymore simply because it isn’t what it always was. Change is a given. Unnecessary change is unneeded. People have gone there all their life, and now it’s become woke.
Not only that, you aren’t even open after 9 anymore. That alone is going to hurt your business. You couldn’t shoot yourself in the foot any harder.
Newcomers might like this stuff, but as for the lifelongs, we’re all going to Mamas Pub now, or the Lantern.

Had a fabulous family breakfast at Wetmore-Street Pub this morning. The ever impressive staff went above and beyond to make this a special occasion for our large group. The food and service were exceptional. We love the fresh new look and can’t wait for the final results of the renovations. Thanks to all!

The service was great and very friendly. Appetizers were decent. Only real complaint there would be the size of the naan bread (they were tiny pieces) for the spinach dip. The burger had the potential to be great but the patty was very overcooked, hard and dry. The same with the patty on the Hot Hamburger sandwich. The gravy was a white gravy that tasted of flour and was not edible for us. Not the same experience we’ve had there in the past. Not sure if we’ll return or not.
