The Kalispell “Wetlands” is a really unique spot, tucked in the middle of nowhere. They have a nice little casino and an RV resort. I haven’t stayed in the cottages yet, but I plan to this summer.
I have eaten at the restaurant several times over the years. The food is good—not amazing, but definitely better than just going to the bar. They could easily offer a few standout meals at reasonable prices. Over the years, I’ve tried their Indian Taco, which was unique, as well as their burgers (solid, standard burgers) and a Reuben. The fries are decent, salads are well done, and the service is pretty good. The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable.
My main thought is that they could push the menu a bit more. There’s been very little change since they opened. Perhaps a monthly special or some upgraded dishes could really elevate the dining experience. I think they have the potential to do better—after all, the food at Northern Quest Casino on the West Plains is really good.
Interestingly, when they owned the corner restaurant in Usk, some of those dishes were better than what they serve at the casino. If business allows, I’d love to see them reopen the corner restaurant, even if only for breakfast and lunch.

I had the opportunity to dine here for the first time and ordered takeout last night. 1-29-2026 The Indian Taco was great, except for the missing cheese and the brown lettuce. My daughter-in-law’s ribeye steak was undercooked Still mooing, and my granddaughter received a Big chicken fried steak instead of the chicken tenders. the buffalo wings were very good. They said are food would be done at 6pm and it didn’t get done tell 6:35 .

This place reminds of when their sister property (Northern Quest) first opened, and actually had good food. While the menu doesn’t knock your socks off, what they do have is prepared well, and isn’t too terribly expensive being in the middle of beautiful nowhere. My burger was robust, Wifey’s wings were fine, and the Cheeseburger Soup side I had was excellent. The staff made this experience great. Everyone was so friendly, and it was good to see young people that actually get off the couch and go to work. We would certainly dine here again when we visit the RV resort. Spotlessly clean place, too…

Burger was a little raw. I did ask for medium-rare, though.
Burger was really messy. Didn’t even eat it. Staff was excellent though

Great friendly service. Staff are overly accomodating The fry bread is the highlight IMHO. Vegetables with entree are freshly prepared and cooked. Not reheated from frozen. Only downside for me personally is wishing the bar selections were more varied. But each to their own in that regard.
Bourbon/Coke – Mushroom Soup – Fry Bread with berry compote – Steak, herb butter, roasted red potatos, aspargus

We have never been disappointed with the food, or the prices at the Wetlands. Unfortunately we cannot say the same thing about the service. There are a couple of ladies who have been there a while that almost always provide good service, but most of the other servers that we have had are slow, and sometimes just disappear on you all together.
One big problem is that even if there are just a few people in the restaurant, if a server is not assigned to your table they will not help you, even just to refill water etc. We have often had to flag down other servers to find our server for assistance. I guess that many servers do not understand that they could make much more in tips by hustling and providing better service!

Stopped for Breakfast, which apparently ends at 11. We were then told we would not be seated, along with another couple waiting, for thirty minutes. Most the tables were empty, other than the larger table of people already seated. It appeared they aren’t staffed enough to accommodate the dining room! This is the second time we have had a bad experience there, and we will not waste our time again. The first time the food was sub par, and the service was terrible.

Little bit: fish and chips. 1 small over done, dry and chewy piece of fish with greasy fries. Waited 20 min for deep fat fried food. Dinning room boring beige. Will not be returning.

Excellent restaurant, far and away the best in the county. My wife and I have eaten here for years and they just keep getting better. I tried out their new menu and had the salmon salad on an open-faced bun. My wife had the sirloin dinner. Both were delicious.
Helpful, very friendly service person.

We stopped in for breakfast prior to our sxs ride and it was fantastic. A+! We decided to go back for dinner and it was a horrible experience. We were seated and a few minutes later another group was seated. They were tended to long before we were. At least 15 minutes passed before we were even asked about drinks. The group that came in after us was already being served their food by the time our drinks were brought. We ordered and when the food finally arrived it was terrible. The only choice for gravy was brown and it was reheated and stiff enough to literally cut it with my knife. I was drinking Pepsi and the waitress brought me a refill and it was root beer. I can not stand root beer. The corn on the cob was super soggy and slimy. I had always liked eating there before. It wasn’t super busy but we were treated poorly and yes, we had ridden our sxs all day so we weren’t dressed the best but that’s not a reason to be fed garbage. I always tip and last night I couldn’t bring myself to tip for such a disappointing experience.
