In the area and wanted to try something new. The drink was recommended by the waitress…it was unique but very good. We just ordered a burger and salad with salmon, which were also good. I would like to go back and try some other drinks and dishes. The only negative was probably the small two person tables.

Westsiders has a modern, comfortable space. The atmosphere is updated but not overdone, making it a good fit for both casual drinks and a sit-down meal. Service was steady and attentive throughout the visit. The cocktail menu offered a good and interesting mix of choices, and the ones we tried were pretty good. On the food side, the fried chickpeas and fried Brussels sprouts stood out as especially good—crispy, flavorful, and a nice match with the drinks. Parking nearby was straightforward and convenient, which made the visit smooth overall.

This was our second time dining here. Our first visit was excellent both the food and drinks were great. On this visit, the food was still good; however, the duck was noticeably saltier than I prefer. Unfortunately, the service made the experience unpleasant. Our server, Autumn, seemed inattentive. I had to ask for silverware with my entrée and eventually took a fork from a nearby table. Since it was my birthday dinner, I had planned to order dessert but decided against it. I hope additional training can be provided to improve the overall guest experience.

Delish food & unique dishes!

We got the beet tostada for an app and it was a perfect pairing of earthy beet + creamy avocado.

I got the scallops- they had fried polenta, which I wasn’t so sure about at first, but it was a nice compliment to the dish. My partner got the double smashburger. He said it wasn’t a classic super thin smashburger, but it was good nonetheless.

We visited Westsiders last night during their dinner rush, and the place was buzzing with activity. Despite the crowd, we were seated promptly, which was a pleasant surprise. The bar staff provided fast and courteous service, and our food arrived quickly.
A major highlight was my girlfriend’s salmon—she described it as bright, extremely flavorful, and cooked to perfection. She absolutely loved it. My sandwich (Bánh mì), on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown. While the bread was toasted perfectly, the pork lacked flavor and felt under-seasoned. The sauce was also underwhelming, and I couldn’t tell if the issue was the lack of flavor or just not enough sauce. I spent some time pondering this but couldn’t quite figure it out.
Our cocktails were a strong point—her swizzle and my punch were both very good, though the punch portion seemed a bit small. The low point of the evening, and the main reason for the three-star rating (outside of the sandwich) was a bartender misstep. I ordered a beer when asked if I wanted another drink, but the bartender took away my cocktail, which still had a few sips left. A little bartender etiquette, like asking if I was finished, would’ve gone a long way.
The staff was extremely friendly and in great spirits, even under the pressure of a packed house, which we really appreciated. My girlfriend is gluten-free, so the menu worked well for her, and we might return for that reason. If we do, I’ll update this review based on our next experience.
For two entrées, two cocktails, and a beer, the bill came to $95, so expect to spend at least $100 for two if you’re dining here for dinner. Overall, a mixed experience with some highs and lows.

Had a wonderful dinner the other night with some friends. The server was phenomenal, always attentive bringing drinks, very friendly and gave excellent suggestions. The cocktail menu was superb with many great choices. Wine list could be improved and did not have the greatest selection. Salad starters were large, one easily enough for two people. The stuffed pepper appetizer was delicious. Dinner choices were also great, which this time we had two different pasta dishes. First time visiting, but I am positive we will be back.

Second Time: just as good, scallops this time and they were amazing.

we were very excited to try this place as it was on the best of Cleveland summer 2025. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations. the cocktails were fun. We got the ceviche and pork belly for apps. The ceviche was pretty average and needed salt, and also more of the peppers and cucumber which were great. I’d also suggest a spoon served with the dish to get to the broth. The pork belly was incinerated (very visible in the picture) and super dry which was such a bummer. The polenta that it came with was the best part of our app. I got the carbonara pasta, which was super average. The pork chop was edible and luckily not overcooked. We were pretty disappointed. We didn’t have silverware when our entrees came out and waited for several minutes to be able to dig in. It’s also uncomfortably warm inside. I don’t think we’ll be back.

We stopped by Westsiders in Rocky River this past Sunday for brunch, located in the old Boca Taco spot. It’s a great place to escape the summer heat — cool, inviting, and with a laid-back atmosphere.

The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and attentive. As for the food, I went with the classic burger and fries, which hit the spot. My wife ordered the granola bowl with fresh fruit, which was light and refreshing — a nice option for a brunch menu. So we also had some whipped Burrata cheese that was served with toast. Weird combo because as soon as the toast gets brought out, it’s cold that eating with cold Burrata. I would maybe choose sub pita and veggies. My wife also thought the Burrata was quite garlicly I liked it.

There was a decent selection of items to choose from, and while everything was solid, it felt like we just scratched the surface. This visit gave us a good first impression, but we definitely want to return during regular business hours to get a better feel for what Westsiders has to offer beyond brunch.

Right now, it’s a nice addition to the area, but I’m curious to see how it will set itself apart from other semi-upscale restaurants like Burntwood, nearby. Looking forward to seeing how it grows.
