View and sunset is great from up here! However I couldn’t justify why it was 25$ per person (without a ski pass) for the gondola ride up to an overpriced cafeteria style restaurant (at least during the “happy hours” in the summer season). There is limited seating on the restaurant floor and is overcrowded, so if you don’t get there early enough before the crowds you’ll either have to wait an extended period to get a seat, get a table/grass patch in the picnic areas, or sit on the floor. This might be better during the ski season, but it seems a bit like a tourist trap for what it is currently… I’d recommend going to a restaurant either in the base camp area or downtown Steamboat, you’ll be getting a much better meal/experience for the same cost per person.

Manager (Hollie) forces employees to work in uncomfortable environments. Doesn’t do anything when an employee voices that they’re uncomfortable. Bar tenders will talk inappropriately to the servers and the manager does nothing. Ryan, specifically treats the women there horribly and calls them names in front of guests.
This place needs a new manager.
