Disappointing take-out experience, after deciding to try again following a long break of bad dine- in visits. We were hopeful. The positive: the order was ready on time, correct, and the hostess was very welcoming and prompt.
The vegetable soup was VERY old, overcooked, greasy, salty, and inedible. My clean spoon became greasy from my fingers after simply removing the plastic wrap seal from the cup, the pic is shown after rinsing off the lid. Upon trying a sip of the broth, I noticed a cinnamon-like spice that doesn’t belong in vegetable soup. But neither does brownish corn, grey Lima beans or shriveled up peas – and the grease? Vegetable soup should not have a greasy sheen on top. I poured it out. Yuck. The Greek chicken salad looked promising at first, though I found it questionable to place hot chicken on a cold salad for a to—go order. Removing the chicken, I find sad, wilted thin tomato slices so old that break apart when touched, limp soggy cucumbers, tiny shreds of barley there green peppers, smothered with white onion slivers that blended in with the shredded lettuce, making it very difficult to pick them off. The chicken, while cooked nicely was very bland and disappointing. The Greek vinaigrette was…weird. It has little clumps of what I think is Texas Pete and adds an unexpected, unwelcome, and unnecessary heat level. I like spicy food, but hot sauce has no place in a Greek salad. Also odd that there were no peppercinis, so perhaps it was intended to be a replacement in the dressing. I used my own dressing and only got a quarter through the salad because I was so annoyed by the aged and definitely not fresh ingredients. Hubs didn’t like his meal either, but my angry little fingers are tired. Each visit has been marked by un-fresh food served, but the people working that we encountered there have been great so this was a hard review to write. Would hope they take this feedback as areas to improve on.
Edit to add: Hubs had a very sick stomach overnight and the morning after.

9/3/25 4:15p.m. Normally I order popcorn shrimp and flounder but today I simply wanted popcorn shrimp. I ordered off their website and added that I wanted tartar sauce. I get their, go in and get back in car to check my food and WOW! First, no tartar sauce but I thought they’d given me a freaking kids meal! There was hardly no food in the box. I go back in to let them know the issues and just ask for a refund. Lady says I’d have to get refund offline and that’s the amount they always give. I just look her dead in her face and just grab the food. I also notice a dead roach on the floor but didn’t have my phone at time to take a pic. I couldn’t eat the shrimp or okra I ordered due to it having some weird taste as it had been cleaned with a cleaning product or maybe ran thru dirty water or faucet something. I just ate the potato and trashed the rest. I used to like this place. Never again.

When I first enter, there is a sign up that states, ” You can seat yourself.” So I sat, and no one came to me. I went to the counter, and the woman stated she would let the person know I was seated. I waited for the person to come to me with a menu. I immediately asked for coffee, and she went to get it. When she returned, I informed her what I needed. She proceeds to inform me that it is 11:10 am and that breakfast is over at 11 o’clock. I asked her for my check and left. Can’t rate the food and service needs to be more attentive. The space appears to be a friendly atmosphere.
Update: I returned again before 11:00 am and breakfast was already over. I still decided to stay and select something from this enormous menu. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a brunch style lunch with different flavored mimosas and the food was delicious. I am glad I gave this location a second chance.

I have been here a few times and so far have enjoyed every meal I have ordered. This is like a family old school Diner. They have breakfast, lunch, & dinner available, so there is something for everyone. There is plenty of seating, both tables and booths. There is also a private back room available to reserve/rent for private events. The owner always comes out from the kitchen to say hello and check on customers. His entire staff is very friendly and attentive. Our coffee & drinks are always kept filled. My only complaint previously was that they were not open on Sundays! Well, I can no longer complain. We now have a place for brunch after church and with great reasonable affordable prices that will keep you coming back. You can enjoy a great meal with drink for under $12! Today I went with the Fiesta Omelette with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, Turkey, bell peppers and Serrano peppers for a kick. I held back on the onions since I hate cooked onions. It comes with a side choice so I got a fruit cup with pineapple, strawberries & grapes…..refreshing! The omelette was not too heavy, it was the perfect amount of each ingredient so you could savor every bite. My wife got the Gallo Pinto, which is a traditional Costa Rican Breakfast. It has two eggs cooked to your liking with mixed rice & beans and plantains. This reminded her of breakfast in her country of El Salvador. She loved it and said it reminded her of her mother’s cooking. My daughter wanted something different and ordered the Fried Chicken, egg & cheese biscuit sandwich. It was huge and messy but so worth it…..her words, not mine. I did however witness her use a lot of napkins….lol. Overall a fabulous brunch, great coffee and lots of options for next time. They have awesome specials all week, especially during lunch. Stop by and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Ate lunch here today and was genuinely impressed. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. The service really stood out—fast, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. Overall, it was a very smooth and enjoyable experience, and it’s a great spot if you’re looking for good food paired with efficient, welcoming service. I’d definitely come back again.

The grilled chicken on a salad was a 5/5. Otherwise…fries had no salt, hushpuppies were the greasiest ever tasted, onion rings had no flavor and burgers were greasy. Server was very upbeat and personable, however, was MIA for an extended time while waiting for drink refills. After following their social media posts for a while, the expectation exceeded the reality of the experience.

So I was feeling a little lazy and decided to order take out from West Town Restaurant. They promptly answered my call and were super helpful when ordering. I ordered Spaghetti and Baked Ziti with chicken. I arrived 20 mins and the order was already for me. They had lots of parking. Inviting music greeted me as I walked in. I was greeted by the most nice people. I was very impressed and the Restaurant was very nice inside, plus they have great prices. We were eager to dive into our dinner when I got home. Wow! Everything was great. The salad was so fresh tasting. I loved the spaghetti with meat sauce. I could tell it was definitely homemade meat sauce. I definitely recommend West Town Restaurant. Now I want to check out their breakfast menu, if I can get myself up early enough. lol. Oh I forgot to mention I am an Army Veteran and the do give a Military discount to say Thank You for your service to our Country. Thank you all so so very much.
