Was in town for work.. Wasn’t bad overall.. a little pricey but affordable. The waitress was really nice and helpful. Ordered a steak and shrimp skewer. I don’t know when I’d be back in town but I’d stop by here again

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The decor felt disjointed—an odd mix of 80s steakhouse meets modern lounge, and the concept didn’t quite come together.

Since it was our first visit, we skipped the steak and tried the Southwest chicken salad and the burger. The salad was solid—about a 7/10. Above average, enjoyable, but not something I’d rave about or recommend to others.

The burger, however, was disappointing. The patty didn’t even fit the bun (see photo), and it was overwhelmingly salty. Not bad, but far from great. Service was fine, it met expectations, but didn’t exceed them.

Living in Las Vegas has made me pretty selective about where I dine. With so many exceptional restaurants here, you really have to bring something special to stand out. For a place that describes itself as an “experience,” this one falls quite short.

With so many better local options, this isn’t somewhere we’d return to.

We had a great experience. Our food was really good. Steak was cooked perfectly. They make a really good old fashioned. Nancy, our server, was fun and personable.

Not sure why so many poor reviews. Maybe they had a rough start in the beginning. But then again some reviews are just ridiculous. Why order the Mac and cheese but leave a poor review and call it a “vat of diabetes”

West Texas Chophouse was pretty good overall. The steak was just okay in terms of flavor and tenderness, but for the price point it still felt worth it. The portions were good, the baked potato was really tasty, and everything came out hot. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable, which made the experience better. Not the best steak I have ever had, but definitely a solid option and one I would go back to.

Went here for an early dinner around 5pm on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was reasonably priced (only $16 for an amazing buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and less than $20 for a decadent pasta). The atmosphere was relaxing and the bathroom was cute and clean!

My porter house was small, tough, and realy fatty. Did I eat it all? Yes. Will I go back? Yes. My wife’s filet mignon was fabulous, and all the sides were ordered were so good. Great service.

0n Superbowl Sunday I had a cheeseburger with all the trimmings. The burger was delicious! The meat was well seasoned, juicy and cooked to perfection. The quality and texture of the beef was superb. America our server was the epitome of professionalism and excellence in customer service.  Her friendly  disposition and  attentive nature made our dining experience very special.  I highly recommend West Texas Chop House for an extraordinary dining experience.  If you have the great fate of being served by either America or Renee I know you will have a dining experience that is second to none. I will always remember the delicious food, excellent service, and the beautiful dining area. Overall, a superior dining experience at the the West Texas Chop House in Henderson, NV.

Yeah, no. The alleged five star experiences here, if legit, must be exceptions rather than the rule. Maybe my expectations were too high. Or maybe the far-too-long wait, lukewarm food and half-hearted service made me question the legitimacy and/or judgment of those raving about this spot. My subpar experience did not appear to be an off night issue. It wasn’t particularly busy, not a holiday weekend, nothing to excuse the issues we had dining there on a random Sunday night. Yet it will only take simple, common sense changes if they are to survive.

To start, there should be a host inside when you enter. Waiting several minutes before being greeted is a red flag, and we were so close to leaving but someone finally wandered over to greet us, more by chance than intention.

The place itself is pretty nice. Good lighting, spacious, simple and classy decor. If the food and service matched the vibe it would be a really good spot.

Our server did his job but that’s about it. No smile, no niceties, no overview of the menu (our first time here), nothing but strictly business. Seems like the staff are just trying to get thru the day.

Bread was pretty good. Thank goodness we got some because after the bread we had a nice 30 minute break before the rest of the food came. Seriously, the wait was no bueno and there didn’t appear to be any reason for it. I’ll wait too long for great food under protest, but waiting too long for average food mustn’t be.

Ordered NY Strip (comes with baked potato), Caesar salad, corn brûlée, and onion rings. Corn brûlée was odd, watery, not great. Onion rings could have been excellent if they had come out hot instead of bordering on room temp. Salad was pretty good. The steak had decent flavor, not bad luckily. Potato is potato, could have used more toppings.

Random issues: water cups are too small – this is Vegas, we’re thirsty, big cups of ice water please especially when one has to wait long stretches between refills. Be prepared to ask twice for anything. Had to remind waiter for iced tea and for steak sauce. Waiter only asked how we were doing as he walked by instead of stopping at the table.

Overall a disappointing, albeit rather humorous experience. There’s a nice manager walking around doing damage control. The table nearby complained of a meal with forgotten items and not tasting too good (a burger I believe). This place would’ve been 4 stars if only the food came out in a reasonable time and a lot hotter.

This can be a decent spot. Just place the energy used to respond in detail to every review into making sure guests are seated promptly, food is served quicker and fresher, and wait staff show a bit more interest.

So be wary of this half-priced steakhouse. What you save in money you pay for in lost time, perfunctory service, and average tasting food. I wish them well, but not expecting to return. Outback is just down the street.

The atmosphere was reminiscent of the Chophouse in El Paso… A chain restaurant feeling… exactly what you’d expect. Our server today was outstanding! Wonderful personality, outgoing, friendly and did her job exceptionally well. I only wish I had gotten her name! Now on to the food… It was ok. Not overly outstanding especially for the price. I wouldn’t rate this place inexpensive. $26.99 for a rib eye sandwich. Again the sandwich was ok… but lacking any sort of flavour or seasoning. The meat was very bland. This sandwich could be elevated with grilled onions instead of raw, some garlic aioli and possibly even some cheese. This sandwich came with a dry bun and the grease of the meat made the bottom of the bun greasy and soggy. Yuck! I’d recommend if visiting here for a meal customize & add extras so your meal has flavour. It was also somewhat disappointing that their lunch menu is not available on weekends. I’d rethink that decision. All in all not bad, not outstanding, somewhat expected from a chain… doesn’t standout with all the other options in a 1 mile radius.
