We cook our meats low and slow using indirect heat by burning oak hardwood. Specialty meats include Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Turkey Breast, Baby Back Ribs, Prime Rib, Hot link and Polish Sausage. Honey-Glazed Hams are another specialty that have been popular since the late 1980s during the holiday season.

Great bbq over all! The ribs were on point and the pricing was very reasonable! Sides were good as well. The turkey was my favorite part! I wish the rolls were softer but would definitely eat here again.

The meat was unbelievably over cooked and dry. All you could taste is the carbon. Mac and cheese was cold and salty, then they forgot the coleslaw which by the time we got it we were over the meal. This was very disappointing bbq to say the least.

Visited the restaurant about a year ago and had them cater my son’s wedding last weekend. The staff arrived on time, set up the food and distributed to our 50 guests. They were cordial, professional and knowledgeable about their food and recipes. Food was delicious and we will go to the restaurant the next time we are in the area. Thanks to Hunter (owner) and his staff for the wonderful food. We got to take some home and it was delicious even as left-overs. Recommend the ribs and pulled pork, side dishes included mac/cheese, beans. All good. Highly recommend doing business with these guys.

Update: they updated the dining area and bathrooms (both very nice) and the vinegar sauce is now called Big ums. Still high quality food and fantastic service. I live more than 2 hrs away but stop by whenever I’m near.

Reminds me of home. Slice brisket and hot links were great. Vinegar sauce was my preference because it was closest to Texas thin sauce.
Wanted to leave a review because the staff handled some other customers just expertly and explained the facts and offered great solutions. Good team, good food.

yea it’s really good. sauces are terrific.
consistency is a difficult thing.
This place goes from very good to great. hit and miss.
they aren’t cheap. BBQ places generally aren’t.

This used to be my favorite place in Jackson. husband I went there today and burnt ends and sides were great as usual, but brisket was under cooked, chewy, and completely inedible.update: spoke with manager. He doubled down knowing the brisket was undercooked. Said they “do their best” but it needs to cook for 16 hours. Cool, so that means you’re fine with serving inedible food, charging for it, and oh well.

Driven by countless times. Had always said I’d love to try this place. I will probably not go back again. I ordered the 3 meat (pulled pork, brisket, turkey) with 2 sides (mac n cheese, baked beans). I also ordered a side of potato salad, with corn muffin. To top it off 1/4 slab of ribs. I’ll break it down.
Brisket- very tender, juicy, too salty.
Turkey- very dry and bland.
Pulled pork- slightly dry, not much flavor.
Mac n cheese- spiced version of kraft.
Baked beans- tasted like canned bushes
Potato salad- very bland.
Corn muffin- bland and dry.
Ribs were the best thing I had out of all things ordered.

All In all, most things were pretty dry. In my experience of smoking my own meats, they are always very tender, and juicy. Most of the items were pretty bland as well. I was very disappointed in west Texas BBQ.

The food was delicious and plentiful. I ordered the big platter and will get at least 2 meals out of it. The service was very quick, and all the staff were very helpful and awesome. I highly recommend them!
