Wonderful small-town goodness!! Stopped here while traveling. So glad! Service was quick, sweet and accurate, even though they were packed at 12:30 on Sunday. Food is delicious. The tenderloin was perfect, fries were golden. Hubby had the tasty turkey club. and enjoyed it. No room for pie maybe next time. We will be back!!

Yes. You should you get off I80 and go out of your way to come here. Clean, friendly, homemade right down to their hot sauces and on site roasted coffee. My omelet was an epiphany on a plate.
This road warrior rates this as a must visit.

Loved the food so much. I had a mushroom and Swiss and I felt it was better than Culver’s. My companion had a homemade tenderloin that she couldn’t eat the rest of. I had a strawberry shortcake for dessert and it was warm served with whipped cream topping. We will definitely come back.

A local dining treasure at the west end of Grinnel, on the north side of US 6. We had breakfast (served until 11 am). The facility has a combination of booths and tables with some fascinating Grinnel and restaurant history adorning the walls. We sat in a booth with a summer photo of what appeared to be the restaurant family’s family reunion, spanning 3 generations with over 100 people in the photo, as one example. AMAZING!

Our breakfast was great! Service was quick. We will definitely be back. My husband had the tenderloin skillet and it was out of this world. I had cinnamon roll french toast. Also awesome. Our 3 year old loved his pancake. Mom stole a bite and it was definitely fluffy. We will 100% be back.

I was stuck in Grinnell due to a snowstorm for 2 days staying in a hotel and this place was my saving grace. The food was beyond words it was phenomenal, The service was spectacular everybody was friendly and helpful and a joy to be around, and the food I cannot stay enough was just delicious and amazing! I will definitely be eating there anytime I have to go back to Grinnell! And the pecan caramel pie out of this world!

We had a great breakfast biscuits and gravy and pancakes. I highly recommend the biscuits Benedict. The coffee was awesome. They roast their own beans. A great place to eat.

I ordered a Cowboy Burger it did not contain all ingredients it said it had on menu. Another person had burnt ends dry hard to chew sent back and swear they were exactly the same. They did have good corn bites. Fries also were undercooked. I will not go back or send anyone that way

West Side Family Restaurant is a great place to have a relaxed meal. The team is incredibly friendly and attentive. Pork tenderloin sandwich was fried to a perfect crisp and is well seasoned. The cheese curds and jalapeño potato cheddar balls are tasty, as is the baked potato skin.

I had the homemade tenderloin and fries. Food came fast, server is extremely friendly and place is clean. Fries could have been a little crispier, but all tasted good. Wife had pancakes which were huge and she could eat only one. She says very tasty and fluffy. I will recommend it. I forgot to take a pic of sandwhich. I was in a rush cause I was hangry. Quaint cafe style diner.
