My daughter and I ate tonight 2/18/26 as my Birthday dinner. We started with crab cakes which were good and French Onion soup which my daughter said was delicious. For main course we had the Tomahawk Steak special for 2 with mashed potato, brussel sprouts with bacon OMG everything was delicious. No need for butter or sauces the steak was a star on its own. Service was outstanding and pleasurable. We ended the meal with the seasonal fruit crisp which was granny smith apples it was delicious only issue we had the apple skin was still on the apples which was cut very thin so the peel kind of was leathery. This place is a true old fashion steak restaurant. Highly recommend.

Stopped into the West Shore Inn during the week and it felt like one of those places you instantly know is a neighborhood staple. The bar was busy, mostly regulars, and had a great laid-back vibe.
I had the porterhouse for one and it was outstanding—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My girlfriend ordered the cowboy steak, which was also very good, just a touch under her preferred temp (and honestly, that one’s on us for not asking for a little more fire).
Solid food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place you come back to without thinking twice. We’ll definitely be back.

I went here for Valentine’s day and I am so glad I did. The food was incredible. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly. It had so much flavor and was very juicy. We also got the volcanic steak tips, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, onion rings, and garlic bread. Everything was so delicious. The service was great as well. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Outstanding!! Brought a friend who went to culinary school before becoming a NYC Fireman, he’d never been to West Shore Inn and he LOVED it! He’s an amazing cook; he knows good food. I never had a bad meal or service here… i also ordered a Cosmopolitan and it was delicious. Sometimes it’s difficult to find a bartender who can make it properly and it was soooo good. Eat here you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Amazing!!!! Service was quick and always with a smile, and when it came to paying they were very accommodating as due to not being from the US they explained how the service charge/tipping worked.
Thank you to our waitress for the lovely service and recommending dishes etc. and for the young gentleman’s for being accommodating and offering to clear plates and box food up for us.
Was so good we went twice in one week during our stay in New York.

Have been here many times and never had a bad meal here. The steak specials are great. Prime rib Thursdays are my favorite. Drinks are good but restaurant pricey. Servers are very good and attentive. Tasty desserts too!

Everything about this place is 5 STARS. I had 3 drinks at the bar and all were made to perfection. Espresso Martini, a vodka concoction on their drink menu, and a gimlet. I then moved to a lovely booth for lunch. I had a french onion soup which was 5 STARS. While waiting for my cheeseburger someone near me was served steak and I was regretting not ordering steak at a steakhouse. Then when the cheeseburger came it looked underwelming. Then I bit into that badboy and its one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever tasted. The fries delcious. I also ordered the buffalo blue cheese calamari and again 5 STARS. The coke I ordered was not the best but who cares. The food was amazing.
I went on a Monday at noon. The bartender Julia was also the hostess, waitress and bus girl. It was not empty and this girl handled everything, including phone calls and pick up orders with ease. She was never frazzled. She was polite to everyone she encountered. When you go tip her well.
It was my first time but not my last time. This place is GOOD GREAT AMAZING 5 STARS.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was top-notch—our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The steak was simply outstanding. We ordered the bone-in tomahawk, and it was cooked to perfection—perfectly charred on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, and the flavor was out of this world. We got 2 Lobster tails on the side and equally as impressive. The sides were phenomenal too. Lobster mac and cheese, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and onion rings which all paired perfectly with the steak.
Our bartender Liz, made some amazing cocktails to go along with the dinner. Even the manager (Lauren) was great and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect.
Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. If you’re a steak lover this place is a must-visit! Will definitely be back soon.

We had a reservation for 745 pm and they sat us at 8 so that wasn’t a great start. They also sat 3 tables before us so I’m guessing they are really bad at time management. Also the booth they gave us was the one closest to the door which had a bit of a draft. The seating in the back area is probably better.
When we sat down our waiter greeted us with water which is always a good way to go to your table, and then the service was ok.
The waiter forgot my diet soda but when he saw me as he walked by he remembered that he forgot so he brought it eventually, but then when we got dessert he forgot my water.
Most of the food was just ok, but the prime rib was perfect. The bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts were also amazing. The truffle Parmesan fries were not the best, but they did make me want to keep eating them. The cheesecake I got for dessert was good but it could use a syrup or strawberries or something to add to the flavor. It was better than most places but felt too plain. Finally the cappuccino was not really great and the fish on it was a bit like soap water.. not in taste… Just a bit bubbly.
I would go back for the prime rib and the Brussels sprouts, but I hope they get better with their reservations.
