The Perfect old-school diner. Rough looking but super friendly locals and staff, slinging high quality griddle grub! Excellent down-home cookin’. The chipped beef gravy is right on target. If you like to eat, then do not pass this place by – get in there and get that grub. The waitresses won’t put up with your BS either so be nice!

It’s a VERY dated diner to be sure. HOWEVER, it is WELL worth it. The food is outstanding, the portions large and the service is an experience all to itself.
Clearly this place is a favorite of locals. We seated ourselves in a booth while a small group old men spread out slightly through the diner, trash talked each other and the older woman waitress , who gave it back just as well as she took it. By the time we left we were part of the family.
Come for the food. Stay for the entertainment.
We’ll DEFINITELY be returning.

It looks pretty scary here, I’m not gonna lie. The staff though is fairly friendly and the food is okay. It’s relatively cheap, and the portions are big. The pancakes had too many chocolate chips so they had a weird crust to them from some burnt chocolate. The Benedict was subpar, however the home fries were banging. Make sure to add onion to yours. Wasn’t the cleanest looking and not sure we will return.

Definitely looks run down from the outside, but everything was great. The inside is very cool and very classic. The waitress was very kind and helped make the tough choice between pancakes or French toast. The food came out quickly too. We got French toast, 4/5, home fries 5/5 but would call them hash browns, and sausage links 5/5 so good!

If you love America & Americana, this is the place! Lovely owners. Food is hearty. And the location right out of a movie scene. Except it’s not a movie, it’s real life and real food. 100% recommend it!

Please do not update your place. I was headed to another breakfast joint when I drove past your location and instantly made a U turn. Parking lot was packed and the inside vibe was incredible.
Only gripe is that jukebox isn’t working.

These really old diners aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I LOVE this place. Traditional diner fare in a classic 1930s era setting. The diner isn’t shiny and new, but rather timeworn and original. This 1930s Silk City is a diner hunters dream.

Been here a few times and never had an issue good solid place to grab breakfast if you can get past the fact the building has not been updated probably since construction “Which I think is a bit of a charm” you will not be disappointed. Prices are very fair as well and the people are pleasant.
