Went here for dinner last night. They had daily specials. The butternut squash risotto was phenomenal 10/10. The steak, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were also delicious. The warm apple crisp was the perfect ending to a great day. If I lived closer I’d be back every Sunday if this was on the menu.

Lovely place, but is being taken down by the lack of some attention to small, but important things. Please wash the glass globes above the bar, and sconces above the high top tables in the bar! Dust and clean the mirror and the glass shelves and bottles.

This place would be a great date settings. The staff were friendly, the food came out very quick on a busy night and the place was clean. Drinks were flavorful, great food portions as well. They have a little street parking but you will have a bit of a walk.

Christmas Eve it was busy and loud as expected but the music was louder. The waitstaff were lovely. The Garden Salad was delicious. The Fish Stew(soup) should have been named Mushroom and puréed fish chowder. Probably very good for mushroom lovers. I called it No Fish chowder. It was tiny potatoes, specks of fish and mushrooms. Everyone was pleased with their meals. A pleasant experience overall. If they could add flakey fish chunks it would be perfect.

The space was wonderful, with a nice outdoor space. The staff had tables set and positioned all we needed was to add our decor..
Eleanor was easy to communicate with and very helpful from the outset.

This was my 3rd time eating at West on Center, but 1st time leaving a review.
When we arrived, the hostess didn’t believe that we had a reservation. We had made this reservation 3 days beforehand. She then double checked and found our reservation but then told us she didn’t see it because we made the reservation online. I don’t understand why they would have the option to make a reservation online if the staff doesn’t check for them. Either way, we didn’t have to wait because there was a high top available.
Food is hit or miss. I remember being impressed with their food on my 1st visit. Then I returned a few months later to just ok food. Yesterday, my family and I went there for brunch…and unfortunately the food was just ok again. I enjoyed their banana pancakes and my drink- Aperol Spritz. My husband got their huervos rancheros and he didn’t like the way it tasted. They were very heavy handed with with Old Bay Seasoning on the potatoes. The huervos rancheros were also not made correctly. They basically tossed 2 tortillas on the side of the dish – which is what I would expect for a taco or fajita dish and not huervos rancheros. We’re used to the fried or charred tortillas UNDER the beans and eggs, so that everything is eaten together. My kids got their kids grilled cheese with French fries and the BBQ chicken sandwich with French fries. The grilled cheese was barely grilled and the French Fries for both of my kids’ dishes were over cooked but soggy at the same time.
The pros are their pancakes and drinks. I remember their drinks always being good. Our waiter was also very attentive.

Very disappointing experience at West On Centre. My brother flew in from Ireland and, since it was a snow day, the three of us stopped in for a couple of Guinness to relax. We were served our first pint and had just sat down when the owner approached us and told us he would not be serving us anymore — with no explanation whatsoever.
We were quiet, respectful, and had literally just arrived. It was embarrassing and honestly humiliating, especially with family visiting from overseas. Completely unprofessional and not the hospitality you expect from a neighborhood spot. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

This place used to be really great. I tried their take out tonight and the quality has really slipped. Tonight I ordered a Caesar salad with steak tips. The salad was wilted and had little rotten bits of Romain. The tips were tough and over cooked. Expensive and disappointing.
