Just wanted to share a different perspective than the person who posted a review regarding their class coming to the coffee shop on 12/10/25.

I am just a customer that was there when a full busload of people came into the shop. Everyone appeared to be 18+ years old. They just kept coming in and I actually thought it was great for the small business at first, but what stood out was that no one went to the counter to order. Everyone just sat down and took up the seating. The new, small business owner did tell them if they were not going to order anything, they should leave. The owner did not speak harshly or mean.

The new owners are very nice and are working hard to make West Main Coffeehouse a place for everyone to feel welcome. But it’s also important to support the space if you’re going to use it, especially with such a large group of people. A library, gallery, or a dedicated function room would be much more appropriate for a gathering of that size that is not looking to eat or drink anything.

We love this coffee shop. They have great drinks and ice cream, and are now offering food options! (Bagels, muffins, popovers, brownies and more to come!) We highly recommend supporting West Main Coffeehouse and Creamery in downtown Prattville!

Extremely love the decor and style of the place!! Rustic and classic fit the environment well. The workers knowledge is drinks and recommendations were useful. I got the Pirates Alley and a drip coffee. Both had great flavor to it. The Pirates Alley wasn’t too sweet and you can still taste the coffee. The Sumatra is a nice blend of tasting notes!! If you are in the area you have to try them out!!

Small and quaint with large flavor and a welcoming environment. Coffee was delicious and there was a great choice for side food items as well as ice cream. Will definitely be retiring here agan!

The coffee here is 10/10, best I’ve had in Alabama. The new owners are super kind, welcoming and attentive to your needs. The atmosphere is perfect – cosy furniture and great music. Worth a trip!

The new owners are awesome!!! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They are making their own syrups and have new drinks available. We tried the matcha with the lavender syrup, and it was life changing!!! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Thank you for all the yummy stuff for my tummy fluff!!!

We live about an hour away from Prattville but it’s fun to visit historic district every so often. We always make a stop here for either coffee or ice cream and the ambience is great. It’s really nice because you can go out back and sit by the creek. The service is good and the quality of the ice cream and coffee is always great as well. we always come back and that says it all.

My class came here to get out of the cold, we went upstairs and for the most part stayed out of the way. Less than 15 minutes alter, and for no apparent not given reason, we were harshly kicked out of the shop. No explanation given, nothing. We were harshly talked to. 0/10 would not eat or drink here.

This is the best coffee I’ve had in a long time.. it’s not bitter, it’s not watered down, it’s not too sweet, it’s not not sweet enough… it’s literally perfect… and the sad part is that it’s out of town. The two well dressed gentlemen behind the counter were polite and mild mannered. They weren’t overly happy, they didn’t snub me, they were were quick, they were happy, they were absolutely the perfect kind of person I would want to interact with at every coffee shop! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I didn’t feel any type of way – this way or that. And I can be very sensitive to people’s emotions. This was so smooth and amazing. They are the perfect example of what customer service and amazing skill at working behind a bar making drinks and serving people should be. Quick, polite, kind and efficient!

We walked in there with a service dog without a vest or anything because it’s not required and they asked all the questions you’re not supposed to ask and then harshly kicked us out. We were already out the door and a worker was following us still to make sure we got out. The people were originally not nice and I knew that but we were just going in there to warm up as it was very cold. I don’t mean to be rude but that was very unacceptable behavior. I am sure there may be some nice people that still work there but those that were there were not.

This place has the kind of ambiance that you always hope a coffee shop will have. It has the feel of a small town coffee shop but serves some uniquely flavored drinks as well. The ice cream is pretty tasty too according to my 4 year old but they have enough seasonal flavors to suit any palate. By all means, if the weather is nice it is worthwhile to have your drink on the back patio overlooking the creek.
