ordered takeout and the wait wasn’t bad but when i got my food i got half of what i ordered. I got waffles pancakes and bacon with two sides of eggs, i got one side of eggs and there was barely any in there and no bacon at all but the rest was there. food is alright though just make sure you got everything when getting takeout they barely completed my order

First time here. Had breakfast which is served all day. Very good coffee and waitstaff were excellent. We walked in and seated ourself. We were offered menus and asked about drinks immediately. Food was good other than the grits which did not have flavor and hash browns that were very over cooked. We would definitely come back again if in the area.

I don’t know how someone complained about the food prices but for $8.50 cents or so, you ain’t going hungry.
The food was absolutely fresh and prepared right. Hats off to the guys manning the grill

Me and my dad used to visit this place all the time in the mornings. I loved it growing up. Went here yesterday with my boyfriend, New Year’s Eve, was completely unaware they were closing 7 hours early at 2pm. I ordered my food and had previously requested some hot sauce but none was given. I asked again later, and our waitress rolled her eyes at me, went to another waitress and complained about our being there after 2pm (maybe 3-5 minutes after), and my request. Saying we will have to leave. She came back after a minute, slammed the condiments on the table, and threw a box down that I never asked for saying she’s sorry but they’re closing. I’ve never once been treated so poorly here. I understand it’s the holidays, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

One of our favorite breakfast + lunch spots! Great people, great food, great service! Reasonably priced and good amount of choices. Came around Christmas time and they surprised our little one with Santa pancakes. The breakfast is always great & cooked to order. Love that livermush is served! Lunch/dinner is also fantastic- especially the Philly cheesesteak & chicken sandwiches!

Oh my, yes. Wonderful little Mom an Pop diner off I-40 near Hickory, NC. We had the Cheeseburger Stuffed Potato (a baked potato with fixings, and cheeseburger with fixings, combined). Delicious!!! Staff was outstanding too. Friendly, fun loving country folk. Loved it here.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody. The food’s just average at best. I ordered a cheeseburger that was bland and tasteless. Like it was just fried in a frying pan with no seasoning. I could have made a tastier burger at home. And beware when you go to pay at the register because the bill you figured on paying mysteriously goes up a few dollars. I ordered a double cheeseburger ( $7.99 regular + $1.89 for an extra patty), French fries came with it, and an ice water. My bill should have been between $10-$11 but when I went to pay it was over $15!! I went ahead and paid but you better believe I didn’t even leave one dime for a tip. My friend paid his right after me and they tried to overcharge him too. He had to point the price out to them and they corrected it. Ask to see the menu again to check the price before you pay or you’ll get ripped off. I’ll never dine here again.

I am not very pleased with West End Diner. The Philly cheese steak barely had any meat/peppers on it. The french fries were minimal at best. The service was not great, waitress did not come back to check on table until we were finished with our food. We won’t be back.
