First and most importantly, outstanding curry!! Spicy, but not too hot, the basmati rice was perfectly cooked, so light and fluffy. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Mango Lassi (pineapple and mango drink) was delicious, but you better like mango. The naan (fried bread) was extremely delicious. This is great food for take out, bring it home and plate it up. Eating in the restaurant is less fine dining, paper plates and cheap plastic utensils.

Absolutely delicious! Friendly staff and owner. My husband and I order the Tikka chicken, chicken Masala, tikka paneer, lamb curry, mixed berry lassi, and Indian egg roll. Everything was beyond perfect. Very nice atmosphere. Cool artwork on the walls, nice set up overall. We will definitely be back. So nice to finally have an Indian restaurant in Johnstown again!

Obviously the place to go if you want a little heat on your plate. Staff is friendly and quick, food was great, especially the garlic naan. I really want to try the Aloo Gobhi. If you have a vegan diet and want to live a little, give these guys a try!

Very good. Portions a little on the small side. Could’ve used more rice but that’s easy enough to make at home.

We’ve been visiting the area. We live in Manhattan. We’ve had good Indian, nothing we’ve had in the past has been as favorable as this West End Curry House. We keep going back ordering again and again. We expected to eventually get tired of it, or at least get to the point where we felt like we had our fill. That hasn’t happen. It is simply the best food. We are sad to leave it. We will bring as much as we can with us back to the city. We will freeze it, and when we run out, we will make the decision if it’s reasonable to drive 6 hours just to have one of the best tasting foods you can get in this world.

We called 5o order Tikka chicken but due to the popularity they had sold out. The owner recommended the lamb curry. I was unsure since I have not had it before but so glad i got it! It was amazing! Highly recommend this treasure in the West End! Will definitely be going back!

Great food with friendly and efficient staff. Eight month transplant to Johnstown and have found very little diversity, lack of ethnic foods. I was delighted when I read about the opening of this restaurant. This is one of my favorite cuisines and what I frequently ordered where I used to live.

Lamb curry and chicken tika is excellent! Just the right amount of spice. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that they had only one order of lamb remaining and our take out order took 40 minutes instead of the 20 minutes quoted. Like most businesses today, there was a help wanted sign posted. The staff was attentive and the check was spot on, unlike some restaurants which seem to be overcharging lately. The restaurant is clean and there is interesting art work done by one of the cooks hanging in the restaurant. It’s great to see another good choice of restaurant in Johnstown. We will go back!

Ordered take out and was very good. Owner & staff were friendly. Prices are fair for the amount of food received. Food was ready quickly. Got Tikki Masala and curry chicken, both very flavorful. We’ll definitely order from here again.

Absolutely delicious! I got the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and vegetable samosa. I was surprised to discover this restaurant in Johnstown. Exactly what I would expect when I crave a chicken tikka masala. A nice amount of heat but would not call it overly spicy or hot. Enough for two small portions for me. Good price. The sauce and chicken were delicious. The rice light, fluffy, and fragrant. Samosa was a little spicy but not more heat than I can handle, delicious flavorful filling, and a flaky crust. I will definitely be back! So happy to have found this place. Thank you!
