My first time ever to NM and I decided to visit The Sawmill. I happened upon West and was very happy this was my 1st stop. My server, he was amazing. I ordered the cheese board and some wine. This cheese board was outside my comfort level but it was perfect I ate everything but a few grapes! I wish I had caught his name but it was about 130 on a Saturday afternoon June 8th. He gave me lots of good local info and I was so impressed as he navigated a variety of different customers! I’m so glad I stopped in here thank you West staff for making this such an enjoyable experience

Brian was the only bartender the night i visited. He handled the lively busy Saturday crowd very well! He was personable with each patron & quickly served the cocktails with ease. For gin fans, I highly recommend the Corpse Reviver 2. This bar is worth a shot. Show support & stop by. Disregard the bad reviews.

It’s unfortunate that I’ve traveled all over the world to many more “high end” bars but the service from the bartender was simply not even worth the $2 tip I left him for pity that he can be that bothered for a drink.

If one’s that bothered, find another job. I’m sure ABQ has plenty of places to work that fit best with that attitude.

Embarrassing, won’t be going there again.

As a business owner, can see why the reviews don’t lie.

Website says open from 11:00 during the week. It’s after 2pm and no one is here. You should update your website. Very disappointing. I won’t be back.
Update:. I’ll sitting here outside the restaurant eating pho and drinking beer watching guest after guest push on the locked door. At least put a sign on the door if you’re short staffed or closed for any other reason. Unfortunate. I’m changing my review from a 2 star to one star.

A solid bar in the Sawmill Market. Slightly quieter than the main areas, bartenders happy to go off menu and do Prohibition-era cocktails or tweak an item to your tastes. Limited food, but you’re not here for the food, are you?

Have had responsive and attentive service at the bar even on a busy evening, prices may be high for Albuquerque but compared to our old hometown they’re a bargain.

Recommended more than Botanic Bar (which also does a great job) because they have bar seating and a bit quieter vibe.

The food was pretty good when we reminded them we ordered it and it eventually came to the table after we had been drinking our water which we were offered more but that also got missed in the return. The cocktail I had was nice. Would have been nice to have water with the food we had. Seems like they’re trying to make a good effort but kind of fell through when we went. Maybe something to do with the waiter who took our order leaving for his shift.

A+ experience sitting at the bar attended by Nick, Travis, and Grace. Fun to observe the chemistry between them. Wine and food were outstanding and original. Comfort, lighting, ambiance, music- they nailed it to be honest. Really nice evening at West. Sexy and sophisticated!

Terrible service but the wine list was decent. The bartender/server doesn’t know or recommend anything. They just go off their list of wines and cocktails. Decent if you want a quick cocktail but not worth it if you want crafted or knowledge of wines.

Bright, modern cocktail bar conveniently located in the Sawmill Market. We dropped in for the great happy hour prices and loved the vibe and will be back sometime to check out the outdoor fire pit.

Ummm, the check out person put in for me to tip her 5 dollars for selling me a cookbook (which was already over market price) and the transaction would have took less than a minute. Ummm, nooooo. Ridiculous.

My husband had checked out prior and didn’t even notice the tip she pre selected for his dessert.
