It’s my first time visiting TN and I knew I needed to find me some good BBQ while I was here. Someone recommended West Alley, as I prefer to hit up local spots if I can.
You have choices of brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and smoked sausage. You can have that in a plate with two sides, on loaded potato wedges, loaded baked potato, or as a sandwich. Whichever route you take you will be licking your fingers at the end.
They also make their own sauces. I’m not good with spicy anything but really enjoyed their mild sauce and the whiskey sauce.
Since it was just me I would sit at the bar. The service there was always courteous and patient as I asked a bunch of questions.
I almost forgot to mention, they sometimes have local talent come to play and sing. It really adds to the wonderful laid back vibe.
If you’re in Jackson, TN this is one place you don’t want to miss.

West Alley Bar-Be-Cue is an amazing restaurant, the barbecue is out of this world good! I got the loaded fries and oh my gosh they were delicious and filling, the smoked brisket on it was so great and tasty! My hubby and father in law got the ribs, brisket, and potato salad (homemade) and coleslaw and a corn muffin they loved their meal! We all ate every drop of our food. The service was excellent, the resturant was super clean, and the bathrooms were clean as well! Definitely would come back here if I was going through Tennessee again! A must try!

Great local place with a straightforward menu. The brisket and BBQ are great. They have a stage for music certain nights and a full bar. The outdoor patio is nice on cool days and the indoors was nice and clean. Exactly what you were looking for when you said I’d like to grab some BBQ. The service was quick and I would definitely go back.

The food was very tasty, and the happy hour prices can’t be beat! I downgraded them a star because the unsweetened iced tea was so watered down and weak. The nice waitress gave me three different cups but it never really got to a real iced tea flavor.

Four in our group. When we 1st sat down we were given only 1 napkin and a very cheap fork. We noticed that there wasn’t a roll of paper towels on the table like most of the barbecue places.Two of our ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. When it was brought to the table I could smell instantly that the bun was expired. I opened the sandwich and the chicken meat looked and tasted days old. I only took 1 bit and I that was enough. I ate the French fries they were ok.
My co-worker found two chicken bones in his sandwich and then he gave up.
I looked at there website the chicken sandwich there looks nothing like mine. The roll wasn’t buttered and grilled. Not even the same type of roll.

Excellent BBQ. I had a combo- ribs and pulled pork. It was excellent. Our waitress (Lex) was fantastic. Only thing that would have made me happier was if they had the live music going tonight.

The BBQ is so good! The staff are friendly and the live music was good from what little we heard. I can’t believe we’re just now discovering this place. Good place to chill and have some yummy BBQ!!

Amazing staff with out of this world food. I tried the meat combo and got the brisket and ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone and the brisket melts in your mouth. It had an amazing smokey flavor to the point were you dont even need sauce ( although somehow the sauce made it even better ). My wife tried the pulled pork and that also had amazing flavor and was melt in your mouth good as well. I would also recommend the brisket bacon dip for an appetizer.
It was a nice surprise to find out they have live music playing when you walk in.
They keep everything fresh and clean without any sticky stuff. Extremely recommended!!!

Food was good and they give you a bunch of it. I had the rib/brisket combo and had to take most of it home. The sides taste like homemade. I’ll be back.
