It was my first time as Wesley’s and it was a great experience! The ambiance is chill, the food selection is massive and everything looks good! The chicken wings appetizer is a must! They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the salmon and shrimp combo also. The salmon was great, the shrimp and green beans could’ve used just a hint more seasoning for my taste, but you do get sauce choices for salmon/shrimp. The macaroni and cheese was so so good! I’ll definitely be back!

I enjoyed this place. I seen all the reviews and food pics before deciding on coming. Wesley was real nice and helpful. His restaurant smelled so good from the love he put into cooking his food. Only thing I didn’t care for as much was the Alfredo. Only because I believe I make the most tasty Alfredo ever, so I dont hold that against him lol. I would come back. It was BYOB and I loved the music and overall atmosphere.

He’s a “one-man band,” but he was attentive. The was food was well seasoned! Our favorite items was the spinach artichoke dip, the steak and potatoes, and the raspberry cheesecake! We had Tahitian Punch which was nostalgic from growing up in Chicago. It can be a bit pricey, but it was overall worth it.

Was excited to try, menu only available on phone which is fine.. does take awhile to get food, also fine… Mac cheese little on crispy side and linguine noodles little stuck together and under cooked… could use some seasoning to help with lack of flavors… the cook was very polite and helpful when ordering. The food looked great with sprinkled garnishes, just needs a little work on taste and texture which could make this a better place we’d like to visit again.

Fantastic all around. Wes does a beautiful Pittsburgh style Ribeye. Perfect char with a medium rare inside. Shrimp/Lobster were done to perfection. Over a glass of red wine, you can’t go wrong for date night. Can’t wait to be back!

Really surprised with this place. The food was very good.

It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

The mac and cheese was very good. It was a little salty but had a nice crusty top.

I’ll be back when my in town. No, I don’t know the owner and I’m not his friend as people say in other reviews.

Wanted to try a new place, to take my wife for her birthday. Was meeting our daughter who was in Bloomington, from Chicago. She had plans for the late afternoon, so decided on lunch. We decided on Wesleys. We walked in, got seated. We said we would just have water, and they gave us bottles, which is typical for carry out Chinese restaurants, not for a place with the kinds of reviews I was reading before going. We asked for menus, he gave us a QR code card, and said “They are on your phone”. The menu is all over the place. They can’t decide if they are a Seafood place, Cajun place, or what. I ordered the wagyu burger, daughter ordered steak medallions with mac and cheese, and wife ordered the salmon and shrimp. My burger was so insanely overcooked, it was like a hockey puck. Daughters steak medallions, having ordered medium, were far undercooked. Wife said her food was “ok”. Our bill was over $100. I would suggest picking a lane, concentrating on said lane, and proceed from there. With the prices you’re asking for your entrees, there are too many other restaurants in Bloomington/Normal, to not perfect yours. I also suggest getting a liquor license, as well as fountain drinks, and ditch the cans/bottles. Also, people want fries with burgers, not baked potatoes.

What a great evening. Wesley really made our visit special. If you ever wanted to feel like you have a personal chef that listens to your order and executes it perfectly, try this unique experience yourself. Steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare and everything was well seasoned. It takes a while to get your order, but that is expected when everything is cooked to your specifications and specifically to your order. Our family had a great time playing trivia while Wesley prepared the food. I highly recommend trying this unique dining experience. Thank you Wesley.

Got 6 meals. crablegs with fettuccine Alfredo for such an amazing price, was made super fast and hot and ready for when I got there! He was such a kind man very easy to talk to! Played some amazing jazz music &&& let me tell yall about the cheesecake ot is so GOOD 10/10 will be back!

our 1st visit was so good, we had to come back to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, lol – it wasn’t…you can tell wesley loves what he does and does it very well. the menu is via QR code, which i appreciate (no germs), and has plenty of options. our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, it was hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. we loved the ambiance as well – the water fountain and jazz music are very nice. it is now our fav lil date nite spot! we will definitely be back!
