Holy INCREDIBLE! Never been here, wasn’t sure what to expect and I’m a WING SNOB growing up cooking wings in a restaurant, can’t stand paying good money for cold, dry wings.
Every part of this was 100% Glorious! The service, the clean inside and outside, the TV’s & yup…the food was SLAMMIN’!!! These wings were so meaty, so juicy and lightly crispy on the outside! I hate that I live in Florida and will not be in St. Louis often. This place is the jammy jam from top to bottom and everything in between!

Wente’s really is your “local” dive bar with great food and good vibes. Each time I’ve been here I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, but I will say this past time I went there we had a pretty negative experience. Some of other customers who were clearly highly intoxicated were being rude to us and yelling at us because we were supporting their opposing team. This was extremely unfortunate and made me disappointed that people think they can act that way but also slightly frustrated that staff didn’t try and help. So I guess when you go just be cautious of the vibe.

Excellent Roadhouse bar and kitchen. The service is generous, the vibe is fun and exactly as you would hope. Haven’t had enough of the menu to judge but the broccoli is as good as they promote if not better.Dont skip this gem in the rock of an old pizza Hut building!

Such a cool place! Definitely will come back when we’re in the area. Enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Has a nice tented, heated patio set up too. Inside is very comfortable and was busy the whole time we were there.

Thin crust tavern style is my favorite and this place nailed it. Smoked wings are also a must try. Definitely a local joint. Bartenders knew their regulars and the regulars are know each other. A real gem in an assuming part of town.

I know everyone says this is a Dive Bar but we really did not get that impression. Really clean bar. Older but still very well kept. Someone had said the smell of smoke was strong in a review but let me clarify that is from the food being smoked and not from cigarette smoke. The bar is cigarette smoke free. I found the smell of wood fire smoke nice. We opted to try the smoked wings. Holy hell the wings were AMAZING. Nice crispy skin and the meat was super juicy and very well seasoned. Service was also fantastic. Drinks were well poured. Definitely coming back!!

Brooksie made the day! Phenomenal service only to be overcast by the famous smoked wings and the hot teriyaki sauce. The smoked in flavor was only outshined by the crispy edges and sauce. Best wings in St. Louis hands down!

Came up to Wente’s after a long day of holiday shopping to watch the sports games, the vibe of the outside patio and the dining area was perfect. Food (smoked wings, Monterey Burger, and Grilled T-Bird) was excellent! Kiersten our server took the time and went through the menu with us (my gfriend was a first-timer) and her recommendations on the wings were SPOT ON!

I went here last night and had the best philly cheese steak in the world. I’m still thinking about it 20 hours later and I’m definitely coming back soon for another one. All the servers were so sweet and attentive and the live music was incredible! 🙂 10/10 experience. Philly cheese steak.

Nice location, decent “local bar” feel, but food was very average at best for the amount paid. Maybe the burgers just aren’t their forte here, but it was pretty tasteless and overcooked. Beans were not worth the pick and I probably should’ve played it safe and gone with steak fries.. Better luck next time.
