I very rarely post reviews but I tried to send an email to this restaurant after the owner told me on the phone today that they will no longer deliver but it appears they do not have an email address for the public so this is my only means of voicing my dissatisfaction. I rate food at 5 stars as they have incredible food but one cannot get it unless they go to the store nowadays or drive there to pick it up. NO MORE DELIVERY from them!

I have been getting pizza delivered from this restaurant for 30 years. Literally as long as they have been open.
However, I was told today, they are no longer using their delivery driver and outsourcing to DoorDash. This is not acceptable as DoorDash does not handle Pizza’s well. I use DoorDash for many things but pizza is the one item they do not handle well because it needs to be straight to customer to be fresh and DoorDash does not do that. Wenelli’s pizza is high quality so putting it in a dasher car where it will sit and die is not something I am willing to do. I am always willing to pay $50 for a large pizza from Wenelli’s (with tip and of course a side of ranch dressing as Wenelli’s has incredible ranch they make in house) but not when they are going to not take the time to make sure it is delivered with the same care that they have when they make the pizza.
This is a sad day where they are no longer willing to have their delivery driver bring customers their pizza. The driver is a great guy and I believe him to be the son of the owner. I guess he has now been outsourced. This will mark the end of my being a customer at this restaurant after 30 years unless they go back to using their own delivery drivers. I will make sure to share with all I know they should not order Wenelli’s anymore since they are outsourcing delivery to DoorDash.
Thankfully, mountain mikes still uses their own delivery driver and so does domino’s. Very sad when I would rather get domino’s than Wenelli’s, if they are using doordash. Is what it is! This is a very disappointed Customer for 30 years! I hope you re-consider this decision! If you do, I will be happy to return to your incredible pizzas.

Found this fantastic place recomended from a friend who grew up on this pizza. OMG..I Found my new generational family owned pizza spot.! The Crust! Sauce, ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Sorry didnt take pics…next visit…

Picture this- you are at your grandma’s house and everywhere you look, there is a photo of a loved one hanging on the wood panel wall from floor to ceiling. This is the feeling I had when I was there, but instead of just her family itself, it looked to include people from the community too. The pizza was good but it wasn’t like omg you have to try this great. It is a pizza of love and a memory of what it was like going to grandma’s house as a kid. I’m sure everyone has heard from their own grandma saying finish your food, so in Wenelli’s words, eat my crush!

Good pizza. Better than any chain pizza that you can find with quality ingredients.
The dough is perfect. Sauce was more on the sweet side and not too much spice. Cheese blend was a little different than most pizza places but it was good and not too overpowering.
Staff was friendly and they took my phone order quickly. I think the phone picked up just after one or two rings which is commendable considering how busy they were. My order was ready when promised and the staff had a polite hustle to them. Great experience all around and will be back.

Out on this side of Sactown with my old pal’et Felter Upgood, she’s in the design process of setting up her booth at Cal Expo, where she’ll be selling her services…as an Extractor.

Absolutely delicious pizza made to order. The pizza here is always great. Sometimes I like a super duper tons of mushroom pizza with so many mushrooms that you can’t see the cheese and sauce beneath it and Misael made it happen to perfection. We are going to call it “The Fun Guy” pizza. I highly recommend Wenelli’s pizza, sandwiches and pretty much anything else they have on the menu. Come check these guys out and you won’t be disappointed.

Worst cheesy breads ticks ever. We actually ordered and paid for E-TRA CHEESE. there wasn’t enough cheese to cover the crust! It was barely warm.

Long a neighborhood institution Wenelli’s is known for their back to basics approach, making delicious pizzas large and small, coupled with friendly service and decent pricing.
