We usually go in a half hour or more before closing and are treated as if they don’t want us there. The waitress, who happens to be part owner is never friendly although we always tip well. They have swept the floor more than once while we are eating. We are happy with the food and prices but don’t like our treatment.

My meatballs were burnt. The salad was good. A nice BLT. The spaghetti without the meatballs would have been good. They need more servers. The one waitress doesn’t want to share the tables. The waitress was not real friendly. That waitress needs to have that person who seats us help wait tables.

Since they’ve moved to their new location(a former fruit/vegetable stand), Wendy’s Cafe has been mobbed, especially for lunch or dinner. I decided to see what all the fuss was about. They only do breakfast on weekends until 11am. I tried it on a Sunday and got there at 5:50am. The place was dark, but there were 3 pickups in the parking lot with no one inside. I waited until 6 and still no lights came on. I tried the door and it was open. 3 guys, I assume from the pickups were sitting in the dark, drinking coffee. One guy was getting his own coffee from the Bunn machine. I guess if they know you, you can go in early and drink coffee, if you get it yourself. Finally, a lady came out and waited on me. The breakfast itself was decent and she refilled my coffee a couple times. The price wasn’t too bad either. There is only a couple tables for two, the rest are for four or more. It was pretty chilly inside, so bring a sweater or something.
