Kind of disappointed with this Wendy’s. They ran out of napkins. Ran out of ice. Their self serve area was very dirty. The person taking our order was very nice and apologetic. You have to ask for a key to use the bathroom. There was a fair bit of parking with on site disabled parking. They also have fully automatic doors

Didn’t come here for several months after my last poor experience despite having a credit. Previously ordered in the drive thru and received burgers that were the wrong sized patty(junior sized for Dave’s singles), missing pickles and tomatoes and with a minuscule amount of shredded cheese in lieu of the regular slice. I heard them tell the car behind me that they were out of basics such as coke, but I was not warned that they were out of – well – everything. I get these things happen, so I called and the person I spoke to seemed to know what I was calling for before even saying “I just got the strangest order ever…” anyway, finally decided to give these guys another try tonight. I brought up having a credit in the book and was told this location is under new management and I could speak to a manager if I wanted. I knew time had gone by and decided to just let it slide and say, don’t worry no trouble I trust this is in better hands and paid full price. A mistake .. half my order was missing and when I tried to call to inquire no one answered despite the drive thru being empty less than 10 minutes earlier. I will not be returning here. Go to the new location at Hammond by and the highway. I have never had an issue there and often opt to drive the extra distance.

Store was clean with no one inside the restaurant. Keep this in mind when you read the next part. Waited over 20 mins for our food to go, not many cars went thru the drive-thru, when she was putting the burgers in the bag I couldn’t tell which one had no onions requested. So they pulled them out to go check them (at home they fold the one without onions a special way). They folded the bag and called for us, we grabbed it and left… only to be in the car about to turn onto the highway, when opened the bag to find it was missing both fries as we ordered combos.

after a week of eating in restaurants, receiving terrible service and overpriced frozen foods, finally we had an enjoyable meal. I mean look at this photo. Clean restaurant, friendly / quick service and good food. What else do we need after all?

When it comes to “quality service that doesn’t cut corners” in Nanaimo, your options are highly limited. I’ve been consistently disappointed by Wendy’s due to going to the Hammon Bay location, but the Country Club location used to be our go-to so I gave it a try again. The food is worlds better.
I’m all for people learning but maybe leaving the trainee on drive thru alone with no supervisions during rush-hour is not the best idea. Took a very long time to order and even longer to get my drink (just a fountain drink lol). Would also love to see more local students working in these places.

Wendy’s is normally one of my favorite fast food restaurants because of their delicious fresh, never frozen beef and their spicy chicken.
My latest visit to this location however left much to be desired. As usual, the burger was practically perfect: hot, juicy, plenty of cheese, and fresh toppings.
Everything else, however, was just not good.
I ordered a side of chicken nuggets and when they arrived they were cold. Not warm, cold. I returned them and asked for a fresh order and the young man at the front went to the heat lamp and grabbed another container of them and it was also cold. I ended up requesting that they make some fresh and for my trouble. I got two sets of rolled eyes and an exasperated sigh of compliance. The chili they served me had maybe five chunks of beef in the whole thing and three beans. It was basically just a chili flavoured broth. It was also lukewarm at best but at this point I didn’t have it in me to go back and argue with them for a fresh serving so I just discarded it and left.

Ordered the portobello mushroom burger and this is what I received. Horrendous! Tried calling wendys customer care no one answered for 1 hr can’t reach anyone.
I had the same burger in grande prairie alberta and it was amazing! Huge mushrooms big burger these guys here just seam to chop up half a mushroom and call it good. I will be submitting a complaint further to the better business bureau of Canada and let them deal with these crooks! I will never eat at wendys ever again! Such a shame. Our fast food restaurants here are going down the toilet real fast. Zero cares given!

The food was super stale, I asked for no ice and got a lot of ice that filled most of the cup which was super disappointing. Service was not good as the guy was showing his butt crack and had his back facing me most of the time. On top of that, they didn’t fill the frosty to the top. It was 3 quarters full with like 2 inches space for more frosty. Really really don’t suggest going to this location. Happened multiple times

I don’t expect a fresh batch when I order chicken tenders at midnight, but being given stale and COLD chicken is just rude and definitely not food-safe. Charging $11 for three pieces of chicken and not even giving them a courtesy warmup after leaving them out for three hours is a crazy way to treat customers.
