Solar Winds
This morning was my first visit to this NEW restaurant in Ridgecrest, which is actually a big deal here.It was around 7am when I came here, and I could not tell if they were open. There were no cars here as far as customers,so I couldn’t tell.I suggest you get one of those flashing OPEN signs. You would most likely get more customers.I ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit and the breakfast baconator. It took around 10 mins for my order and it felt like it took longer than it should, but the crew is new here I bet with it being a new store. The cashier at the window was polite though the whole time,so that matters.I got home and tried them out.The honey butter chicken biscuit had a nice crunch when I bit down both from the biscuit and the chicken.I could taste the honey butter and a little bit of the seasoning from the chicken patty. It was a little dry. The breakfast baconator tasted good with a little crunch from the layered bacon. The American cheese on the breakfast baconator is the star of the show,as every bite you can taste flavorful Americam cheese. For being the BACONATOR,I felt like it is a little small actually.Big guys out there…you could eat two no problem. I put mayo and siracha on both ,and both tasted twice as good.I would go back and if I had to decide which I liked more…it’s a tie. I think the food was fine…portion for price is iffy, but that is just the way it is now. I would go back, especially to try the baconator burger.
Today I went back for a Double Baconator Burger and an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club Spicey Sandwhich. The Double Baconator was meaty and pretty good.More Bacon if it’s “the Baconator”,but it was a good bite all considered.Like a quarter pounder. The Asiago Ranch Chicken Club Sanwhich was pretty good.It was a little dry and the lettuce was a little wilted.I got the sandwhich and gave it to someone else to try.Half way through they couldn’t finish because it was too spicey for them. I put Chick-fil-a sauce on it,and it tasted fine for me,and was not too spicey. It reminded me alot of McDonalds Chicken sandwhich, which is MUCH cheaper. My favorite thing out of all four items so far is the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, because I liked the crunch of both the chicken patty and the biscuit. I would buy that again.
This morning I purchased a Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant and a Honey Buddy Chicken Biscuit. The Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant is not a normal size croissant, rather a biscuit size croissant bun. It was dry with little maple sauce on it.Good crunch from the bacon. It needs sauce desperately which I solved with mayo and siracha.Without that addition,it is quite plain.Honey Buddy Chicken biscuit was broken and yet still used, and was dry as well.Very little honey butter and was also fixed with mayo and siracha.I think suprisingly that burger king’s croissanwhich has wendy’s “croissant”beat. It seems like wendy’s is real frugal these days,or perhaps it is the local staff, but no denying that wendy’s sandwhiches and burgers are SMALL.The maple bacon chicken croissant was $4.79,and the honey buddy chicken biscuit was $3.19.I dunno…I think I might/ probably get better at Carl’s.Sorry wendy’s but you have to be competitive for our dollars in today’s economy.I just feel like proportionally that you get less for your dollar here, with minimal to less difference in flavors.

I recently tried the chicken sandwich at Wendy’s, and it genuinely exceeded every expectation I had walking in. Fast-food chicken sandwiches can be hit or miss, but this one delivered on every level. The first thing I noticed was the crispiness of the chicken itself. It wasn’t soggy or overly greasy—just a perfectly golden, crunchy exterior that gave way to juicy, flavorful meat inside. You can tell the seasoning is intentional, offering a balanced blend of savory spices that make each bite satisfying.
The bun was another highlight: soft, warm, and slightly sweet, adding a nice contrast to the seasoned chicken. The lettuce and pickles were fresh and crisp, adding that refreshing bite you want in a well-made sandwich. And the sauce—creamy, tangy, and just a little zesty—tied everything together beautifully without overwhelming the flavor of the chicken.
What stood out most was consistency. Every bite tasted just as good as the first, which isn’t always the case with fast food. It felt like a sandwich made with care, not rushed or thrown together. Overall, Wendy’s delivered a chicken sandwich that’s flavorful, satisfying, and surprisingly high-quality. It’s absolutely worth trying if you want something reliably delicious. I recommend coming to Wendy’s and trying the chicken sandwich or Wendy’s spicy chilli .

Amazing customer service all around went through the drive through and had a small issue with my food but no problem because they went above and beyond to correct it with no complaints just smiles from everyone. The cook came out to check what was incorrect, the order taker double checked and made sure I needed nothing else and the manager was on top of ensuring it was correct this time. I can deal with mistakes but bad customer is a deal breaker and they made sure I would be coming back. Great team work, fresh food amazing staff.

I thought I was treating myself to a Dave’s cheeseburger combo yesterday. I ate in, but some of the tables hadn’t been wiped down. The wait was longer than expected, and then the food was cold! The fries were cold, and the cheeseburger was so cold the cheese didn’t even melt. I’ve tried several items other than burgers from their menu since they opened and figured that if nothing else was good, their burgers had to be fantastic. Wrong! Never again at this location.

This is easily one of the best Wendy’s I’ve visited! The facility was spotlessly clean, and the service was top-notch. I even met the manager, Shawn, who was super nice, he greeted us the moment we walked in and personally checked in to ask how our meal was.
The food was fresh and delicious: the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and juicy, the fries were nice and crunchy, and the Oreo Frosty hit the spot! They also have an excellent soda machine with so many different flavor options. Highly recommend this location for the friendly atmosphere and great food!

Some of these reviews are pretty misleading. Have been here multiple times since opening and never once had an issue except one time – they gave me the wrong burger and was quick to apologize and make it right. Even offered a refund and I turned it down. We all make mistakes!! Great service, warm food.
