I would really appreciate it if Wendy’s on Sherwood would take a look at their schedule for the overnight shift of Saturday, December 27th-Sunday December 28th when they were supposed to close at 2 AM, and see which manager was on shift that allowed this to happen. I have worked in the service industry before for several years, and anywhere else I have worked would have ABSOLUTELY not tolerated this type of deception and laziness from the employees; I have actually seen a coworker literally fired for turning away a customer a mere 5 MINUTES before our scheduled closing time. I’m not suggesting anyone should necessarily lose their jobs over this, since I have a heart and the economy is in the toilet lately, but some sort of disciplinary action should absolutely take place so that this doesn’t become a repeat issue in the future. If this particular Wendy’s is supposed to be open till 2 AM on Saturday nights (thru till 2 AM on Sunday morning), then they should remain open during that time, otherwise these workers are literally the sole reason this Wendy’s location is losing out on sales and losing money, since the labor costs for these employees to be there are being paid to them as their wages, but they aren’t doing the work they were hired to do. I’m just curious as to which manager allowed this to happen; this wasn’t closing a mere “few minutes early”–this employee closed the store AT LEAST 40 minutes before the scheduled closing time. Which means I had to waste MY gas to drive many miles out of my way to go to a 24-hour Wendy’s off College Dr just to make absolutely positive I would actually be able to get my food. That costed me more money in gas than I can really afford currently, especially since the Christmas holidays have been costly for everyone and no one’s money is going nearly as far anymore these days.
I’ve never asked for anything like this before, but I would appreciate if a supervisor would contact me and let me know what is being done to resolve this issue and make sure it doesn’t happen again in the future. That way I’m not wasting my gas or my precious time driving to this particular location if the employees who are getting paid to be there are refusing to do their jobs.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue!
However recently, management has made it go down hill. The older, white gentleman (manager) who used to be vibrant and helpful is now sour and dismissive. The younger, black female manager(?) seems new and is always rude. Placed a mobile order today in which I was charged twice. Besides telling me “we have no order for you,” and “call customer service,” the older white gentleman made sure to make me feel unwelcome with his body language. The younger black female, with her words. I honestly don’t even see how SHE has a job, she must know someone. This was my second negative encounter with her in a few weeks. The first was simply because I asked for sauce. It looks like she makes sure that SHE gets HER sauce though.
Shoutout to customer service for easily seeing my mobile order and crediting me for the issue. The only saving grace. I’ll still go to Wendy’s, just not this one.
The employees didn’t thank us for our business. They seemed like they didn’t care and it was Christmas Eve.
It took forever to get our food and the fries were cold. If we waited like 13-15 minutes, why couldn’t we have had hot fries?
versus the “Son of a Baconatter” (who knows that? “One little patty one big patty…” whatever the heck it was…) Her response was barely discernible. Then, I made the mistake of asking if it came with cheese. (My bad, apparently!) She, again, answered me in a very rude and exasperated tone “Yes.” (So sorry that I interrupted your day!) I was stunned and said, “You know what? Never mind. Thank you!” and I drove away. I will NEVER attempt to order food from this location again!
