You know what to expect with Wendy’s. Nothing too fancy, nothing too expensive, just good food, good service, good prices.
My order was prepared pretty quickly with a minimum of fuss although the cashier initially forgot to give me a cup for my soft drink. The shop is interestingly decorated with posters about the importance of adoption and inspiring messages on the same subject, giving the shop a more personal feel.
The vibe is rural Indiana as befits the outskirts of Shelbyville which in fact is rural Indiana. The location is convenient, just north of US 74 on the less busy side of Highway 9 (going away rather than towards Shelbyville proper).
Pro Tip
Nearby the restaurant adjacent to the Texas Corral is a great series of walking paths, the Intelliplex Walking Paths system, which I highly recommend for enjoying beautiful views while walking off a few Wendy’s calories.

Wife is diabetic and can’t drink pop either, so she always asks for a certain zero drink with no ice. We usually are told “we don’t have that.” Then having to explain where to look it up on the coke freestyle machine, only to be told that it isn’t on there, but it is. Finally they listened and WOW… they found it! Other than that they also forgot the honey sauce on my honey chicken biscuit.

This is by far the best place to get breakfast. They always get it right and fast. My order has removal of items and not once have I received an order with an incorrect sandwich.

Did drive thru and had the breakfast for the first time. It was pretty good. Had the egg and bacon cheese biscuit. Potatoes were so so. Not sure if they were regular fries or breakfast home fries. The breakfast sandwich was the star, good egg and good biscuit.

3rd time I’ve came to this location and each time they can’t get the order right, today I asked for sausage egg and cheese croissants and they came up with sausage egg and mayonnaise on muffins. Thanks for that right after surgery.

I stopped by here for dinner twice within the same week for my kids and I because my wife is in the hospital right around the corner. The first time, I ordered 2 Triple Baconator Combos. 1 of those was supposed to be Bacon and Cheese ONLY and the other was Regular. The 3rd meal was The Son of Baconator Combo w/ Bacon and Cheese ONLY. I got home and the two Baconator Sandwiches had NO BACON on them and the Regular Baconator was sloppy but also had onions and tomatoes on it but wasn’t supposed too. So then my second visit, I ordered the same order and this time I got 1 piece of Bacon on each of the Baconator Sandwiches but they were still sloppy!! So just between those two trips, I paid almost $90. I know that it’s close and convenient to the Hospital but for that kind of money and for the orders to be messed up twice, I would rather drive further out of my way and grab something else for dinner than to waste my time and money here again.

Celebrated a friend‘s birthday at this Wendy’s recently. It’s one of those gems where many of the people that go there know each other. The group I was with go there about once a week and know all of the employees. They are treated like family. Wish I lived closer and could go to this Wendy’s more often. To top it off they offer a 10% senior discount, which is awesome. The food was delicious. The restaurant was pretty clean for a fast food restaurant. Thank you!
