I’m not a person to leave reviews or care but I’m tired of dealing with rude workers just cause they have to do the job they applied for. Today me and my boyfriend decided to make the quick stop for something quick to eat. Ordered our food and it was all fine till we got to the window.
When we get to the window, we pay and she hands out our drinks, and this is when my boyfriend asks for the straws while we wait for our food cause he was thirsty, the last working the window said “they will be in the bag” with an attitude and slams the window in his face. I was just kinda in shock, cause that’s a simple nice question and he got attitude back and disrespected. She left the window shut until the food was done and the handed it out and then the food was even wrong which put the cherry on top.
It wasn’t a huge deal, but neither was the question or just simply doing your job and grabbing the straws for us while we wait.
We went about 11am on Saturday January 3rd so definitely avoid this time! I’ll always be looking out for who’s working for what kind of experience I get, and I shouldn’t have to.
We eat Wendys all the time. At least once a week, best burgers around. However we usually only come here when its convenient to us. We try not to for the most part.
We went here right before Christmas, ordered through the app like we always do. Go in to pick up and eat inside and after telling the cashier our name, he found the order and then seemed confused. He found it but then it was gone. He called ” the evening manager ” over and they couldn’t find it. Finally she says, here it is, it shows unpaid or payment declined. I showed it to her on the app where we ordered and paid for it, I even showed her my bank account where it was already a pending charge. She basically said there’s nothing she can do. We’re not getting our food or a refund. I knew arguing with this person wouldn’t go anywhere and she told me to contact the manager the next day. So we left, drove across the bridge, ordered through the app again, and ate our dinner with no issues.
I talked to a manager Robert the next day on 12-23. He said that they handled this all wrong and should of just gave me my food. He said that he would make this right, come in and tell them Robert said to make your order and it would be taken care of. He didn’t even ask how much or anything. Just said we will make it right. I believed him to be genuine.
Today I went in to get our $20.62 worth of food and was met by yet another ” manager “. I told him the situation and what Robert said, who wasn’t there unfortunately. He said before he could do anything I needed to call the Wendy’s app, get confirmation of the order or the mistake, not sure, and then he could possibly get the food that was owed. I stated Robert said he would take care of it, not make me jump through more hoops and arguments. I told them to just forget the $20 worth of food. I won’t be back. Its much easier to just click dispute charge on my bank account, which i did, then to go through this headache for $20.
Robert, if you see this, I appreciate what you were willing to do to make the customer happy. Everyone else involved should take note of how to manage properly. But no worries, there’s a much better Wendy’s right across the bridge.
Also, upon looking at other reviews, it seems the exact thing just happened to someone else, and yes I believe Nikki was the manager that we had as well the night before.
It amazes me how they can get sauces wrong, then when you tell them, they tell you essentially you have to keep the wrong sauces and pay for the right ones. When you remind them you want the ones you asked for, not whatever they grabbed, they melt down and require management to help. If you need management to switch out sauces, after we’ve let so many times slide before… Nope. We won’t be back.
Your food will be wrong. You won’t have what you paid for, and they’ll try to charge you to correct it. Ask for a refund and take your business elsewhere. That’s what we did. We’re sick of these corporations jerking us around. Provide what is asked for, what is paid for. That is not too hard. Unless you work at this Wendy’s.
Today was a prime example. I tried to order six biscuits something I’ve been doing daily for two weeks and suddenly it became an ordeal. The cashier acted like I was asking for a favor, not making a purchase. Then the manager got involved, throwing around “corporate policy” like I work for her. I showed a receipt from yesterday where I bought eight biscuits, and she still dismissed it with an eye-roll and a snarky “they shouldn’t have done that.”
Look, I’m not here for drama I just want to pay full price for what I’ve been ordering consistently. The attitude was unnecessary and the customer service was flat-out disrespectful. If this is the tone leadership sets, no wonder the energy shifts so drastically depending on who’s managing.
