For the public record- I used to work at a Wendy’s in another state. I was there for a year and was considered rather proficient at my job and had my name put in the ring for Customer Service Ambassador. I quit recently to move here, which is the only reason that promotion never happened. I am confident I still thoroughly understand the menu and general employee standards. My issues are largely with my current order and a few past ones, but the employees here have been incredibly lackluster.
– I was handed a value cup when I ordered a small lemonade. Was told that is small for a lemonade. Big fat lie. Lemonades are 50¢ extra than a soft drink and are considered an upgrade, they do not come in a smaller cup.
– had to ask for napkins
– no spoon for the chili, had to ask for one
– no crackers for the chili
– no barbecue, despite that I specifically asked for it
– screwed up bagging my meals in separate bags, even though I ordered in such a way that would have made it easy to ring up in separate bags, and was clearly two separate meals. I must remind you I am familiar with the Wendy’s POS—I generally order in a way that would be easy to ring up and understand
– no receipt, which is the only reason I am airing my grievance publicly
I personally like Wendy’s food. However, this particular location is incredibly disappointing.

I’m in food service. It’s not hard to be pleasant and take orders well. What a weirdly frustrating drive thru experience. We only come in the evenings. I’m unsure if the morning crew is as difficult to deal with, but this evening crew is just ridiculous. I’m not mad about it, it’s laughable how every interaction with the staff seems like it’s their first day on earth. The food is usually correct and always pretty good, but we have a bewildering experience every. single. time. with the staff at this location.

Night shift manager was rude. Fries was barely warm, my first frostie had ice chunks in it, got my remake needless to say i threw the garbage out the window going down the road! I took one bite it tasted off never have I ever received a frostie from Wendy’s and it come out like these two did! My remake was worse than my first one i received! I
Called the store and no surprise after the service i received, no answer! I order from here all the time and this was very disappointing! Never will I come back during night shift! As an assistant manager at another restaurant here in oak ridge this is embarrassing! Please Wendy’s night shift that is working tonight on December 9th around 12am come work on one of my shifts I run so I can teach you proper customer service this is mostly directed towards the so called “manager” who took my order and brought my replacement frostie. I’m not sure where yall found this guy Wendy’s but yall damn sure need to find an actual professional, dude is a joke! This was absolutely unacceptable!

The young man who waited on us was great. But the order was wrong and I asked a lady named, Michelle, to please fix it. She grabbed the burgers off the counter roughly and slammed them into the trash. Had a sorry attitude. I told the young man there that her behavior wasn’t necessary. He tried to explain it that she had been there all day. That’s her choice. BTW, this was in oak ridge.

I stopped at this Wendy’s with my wife and kids while we were on the road. Overall, it was decent. The food came out fairly quick, and the staff was friendly enough. My kids were happy with their nuggets and Frostys, so that’s a win
A couple small issues though, the dining area could’ve been a little cleaner, and they forgot one of our fries at first. Not the end of the world, but with 4 kids, you notice when someone’s missing food. They fixed it right away when I asked.
All in all, not bad. Nothing amazing, but we left full and the kids were happy.

Order is messed up almost every time we visit, maybe 1 out of 5 is correct. This last time will be our last visit though. Not only was the complete order messed up but they actually sold me a burger with a bunch of plastic bits stuck to the bottom patty. I noticed when I took the first bite and wouldn’t eat anything more. Waste of money.
