I first went to the drive through, and because I have a dairy allergy (to milk proteins, not lactos intolerance), I asked about the breading on the chicken products. They told me they “cannot disclose that information”, and told me I would have to come inside and look at a chart on the wall. How can you not disclose a food allergen to someone? That is dangerous first of all. What if I was unable to walk? They should have the mental aptitude to take a look at the same chart. ALL other restaurants I’ve been to are willing to tell me this information, as all websites will tell customers to ask at each location since food can be sourced from different suppliers. FIRST BIG X TODAY.
I came in and reviewed the chart, although I needed to be somewhere soon, and then went to the counter to ask about their fryers and whether they get the fries separately. They did not even acknowledge me the entire time I waited, despite the fact that multiple people looked at me, albeit with attitude on their faces. They just kept doing what they were doing and didn’t have the kindness to come tell me to go place the order at the back or see if there was anything I needed. It is December 19th! Would it kill someone to have a little Christmas cheer?
There was no sign at the register saying I couldn’t place an order there, and I waited a good 8 minutes before a customer finally told me I would have to place my order at the kiosk in the back. Multiple customers came in while I was there who were wanting to order at the counter with cash, and the staff still did not acknowledge them. Three of these left rather than fight with the lines and kiosk.
Then came the long wait. I ordered two combos for my kids only, because I was afraid to eat anything with my allergy since no one would come speak to me about the fryers. I waited another 15 minutes for the food, and yet another 5 for two small frosties. Then another wait for two small lemonades. How long does it take to dispense lemonade? They didn’t have to make it. I was standing there watching. All they had to do was make it, but even though my food was ready, the guy decided to go do something for a drive through customer who already had people helping them instead of making our frosties and lemonade. So while waiting for drinks, the food got cold. EVERYONE standing in there waiting was complaining to each other about how bad the service is here.
To top it off, it was dirty in the dining room. We took our food to go because no one is cleaning. The drink machine is also out of about half the drinks according to another customer.
I don’t normally complain, but this place has got to be the worst Wendy’s I have ever been to. Having said that, almost all of the Wendy’s are getting this way, whether we are traveling or staying local. It’s like the owners collect money, let people who do not care run things, and service and quality go down. Dave Thomas would roll over in his grave is he knew what the company he built has become. Machines are taking over, and meanwhile, these people want good pay but don’t even deserve minimum wage if this is how you will treat people.
DO BETTER!!
On top of that, they have recently started charging $0.81 per sauce, and when customers ask about it, the staff responds with more attitude instead of professionalism. The turnover rate is obvious—there are always new, inexperienced faces, and it shows. The level of immaturity and lack of customer service from this team is unacceptable.
Corporate really needs to step in and evaluate this location. Either shut it down or bring in new leadership and a staff that can actually deliver quality service. Until then, this Wendy’s will remain a frustrating experience for customers.
We get acknowledged after a while and get incorrect food. Its honestly wild. We went to waffle house. Probably not going to wendys anymore.
Atmosphere was great
