Wendy’s Locations in Charlotte, NC – DoorDash
Reviews
In December 2025, I placed a pickup order through the app. When I arrived, the salad I ordered was unavailable. The replacement offered was not acceptable to me, so I requested a refund. I was told there was nothing they could do and no solution was offered until I asked to speak with a manager. The manager then informed me I would have to request the refund through the app.
I submitted messages and emails through the app, but I never received a response from customer service and never received my refund.
Today, while picking up a DoorDash order, I was not acknowledged when I walked in. When I tried to help by pointing out the order the manager was holding, she ignored me the first time. When I repeated myself, she responded with an attitude and stated that the order had to be placed in the pickup area. If she had simply communicated that the first time, there would have been no issue. Basic customer service goes a long way.
Due to the lack of resolution regarding my refund and the repeated poor customer service experiences, I deleted the app weeks ago and will no longer spend my own money at this location.
I placed a mobile order, and mind you, I am a regular at this location with no problems until today. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a taco salad. The chicken sandwich was good. BUT once I opened the Wendy’s bag of the taco salad, I was hit with a strange scent on the utensils, the tortilla bag, AND the salad packaging, but I thought it was in my head.
Anyway, I took two bites of this salad. After the second bite, I immediately spit it out. I was so disgusted. So I called the store, and there was no response. Then I called the customer service line (conveniently closed on the weekends, smh) and finally took the salad back to the store.
Once I got there, I was initially only going to get a refund for my salad, but after a worker disclosed that this location is ROACH INFESTED, I requested a full refund.
To make matters worse, the MOD ignored me and pretended not to know how to process refunds. Another gentleman assisted, but he couldn’t even figure out how to process my mobile order. He called his GM, who tried to give me the runaround on my refund.
Luckily, this same worker who I mentioned earlier took pity on my frustration and figured out how to give me a refund on the POS. She said roaches are all over the food and even the grill they cook on!!!! I immediately requested a full refund, but I will NEVER eat here again!
And to top it off, while I was getting my refund for the rancid salad, another customer complained about FINDING A HAIR IN HER BURGER!!! I swear I can’t make this up.
I once loved Wendy’s, but now they’ll never see my hard-earned money AGAIN! This is a PSA to the public: BE CAREFUL! These people don’t care about the quality of the food they’re serving, and that’s so disturbing.
At the window, I told the man that I was using a $5 coupon for a spicy chicken small combo. He said ok. When he asked for my drink, I asked which diet drinks he had. I chose diet ginger ale. I told him I didn’t need anything else with caffeine because I’d just finished an espresso drink (why I included the pic). I held it up for him to see once I got to the drive thru window. He made a comment about me bouncing off the roof.
I handed him my card & the coupon. The guy who took my order (Black guy) was with a younger guy (white) who seemed to be in training. A white woman comes over to help them. She handed me my card with 2 receipts. She said she had to void the 1st order because I gave him the coupon after he ran my card.
I’m not sure if that’s what he told her, but that’s NOT what happened. I told him when he asked to take my order that I had a coupon & what it was for. He definitely remembered what I’d said about the espresso & caffeine. Glad I was home when I ate; think it’s likely that someone may need more than 1 ketchup pack & 1 napkin.
I returned to the drive thru on Saturday, 11-27 to place an order for my dad. I used the buy one baconater, get one for $1 coupon with a small fry. There was no problem with using the coupon. The same younger guy who appeared to be in training was at the window again.
At one point, he told me they were waiting on my sandwiches. I said ok thanks. Not long after that he started handing me a bag. Someone I couldn’t see started reprimanding him & said I told you to tell her to drive up. Apparently the bag wasn’t my order. He told me to drive up. A woman with different color braids brought the food out. No thanks for waiting or anything.
You can’t miss the hiring signs, so I’m sure they’ve been impacted by staffing issues. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for soft skills training to be implemented for both management & staff.
I paid $8 for a bed of iceberg lettuce. The quality of the their food has become bottom of the barrel. I should have went to Chick-Fil-a.
