Wendy’s deserves real appreciation for the way they honor veterans on Veterans Day each year. Offering free meals may sound like a simple gesture, but the way they deliver it makes it feel meaningful, respectful, and genuine. When I visited, I didn’t feel like just another person in line; the staff was welcoming, smiling, and incredibly courteous from the moment I walked in. There was no hint of rush, impatience, or “just going through the motions.” Instead, every interaction felt intentional and appreciative.

What stood out even more was how organized everything was despite being busy. The team handled the rush professionally, and they never made veterans feel like an inconvenience. They thanked people for their service, served meals with kindness, and kept a positive attitude the entire time. The food was great, but the appreciation behind it meant more.

In a world where gestures sometimes feel like marketing, Wendy’s effort comes across as heartfelt support and recognition. They didn’t just give food; they created an environment where veterans felt valued and respected. That kind of generosity and professionalism makes a lasting impression, and it’s something I truly want to acknowledge. Wendy’s really stepped up to show appreciation, and it matters.

Location is disgusting every time I go. Careless and slow moving staff with no urgency. Some staff handles food without gloves. When I questioned the woman at the counter she claimed she had gloves on. No apology or anything. Manager didn’t do anything except tell me my order is almost done. I’m sure there will be new staff if and when I come back.

My friend and I came here to the drive thru. Hungover and desperately needing a burger that was so good it could cure any disease, restore sight to the blind and feed an army of orphans with just the sight of it alone. We didn’t want to pay for 5 guys so we decided on Wendy’s. Not expecting too much, we got a Dave’s single, Dave’s double, two sweet teas and a cup of chili. We drove home in silence, both waiting… watching… hungering… tummies rumbling… we ran into my apartment and pulled out two burgers. I was surprised at the weight and pure girth of these holy meat sandwiches wrapped in mystery and suspense. Opening the wrappers the cheese was melty, the sauce was so plentiful it fell out of the sandwich, the tomatoes had been sliced not too thick… not too thin… the pickles were here and there, giving you a little pickle surprise with every other bite. The onions were cooked so masterfully that Gordon Ramsay couldn’t do it better himself. Biting into this burger, I felt like that rat in ratatouille when Remy was giving him combinations of snacks to eat. The flavors coming together to create a marriage of flavor so strong that the word marriage itself was redefined. At this point I was beyond excited to get to the chili. It was hearty, it was BEEFY, IT TOOK US TO FLAVORTOWN BABY!!! Cheers to the people working at this Wendy’s. It was truly top tier and our “we-drank-too-much-last-night-itis” was gone. You miracle workers save lives. 3 Michelin stars wouldn’t be enough.

Ate it too fast to take pictures can you blame me?

Food allergy alert! No tomatoes doesn’t always mean someone doesn’t like tomatoes, some people are allergic. Therefore just taking it off an already made burger for quick service could be deadly to some. There wasn’t one on my burger when I got it but I sure did have a bad reaction that I needed Benadryl and steroids for after eating my burger. Same with my sister, no pickles and no mayo, she has a severe egg allergy. She tasted the pickle juice on her burger, luckily no mayo on it. She would had required an epi pen and hospitalization if she survived it at all. Quick service isn’t as important as someone’s life!

came in around 6PM on a Wednesday; first time at this location but despite reviews I was in the area and thought I’d give it a shot, so I placed my order and drove on over. first thing I noticed was how stupidly the parking lot was designed, if you’re trying to come from target/panera; there’s only one entrance, that looks like it leads only to famous Dave’s, next door, so I had to circle back around. second thing I noticed upon parking and getting out was how new it still looks (a grand opening framed photo inside indicates June of 2023). thirdly, the temperature was unacceptably warm, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether it was an ac issue or just the franchisee trying to save some on cooling costs. I did not ask..

anyway, upon reaching the counter, the cashier took two or three in-store orders before asking if I was picking up, which wasn’t a huge deal, other than that the person announcing orders announced one and DIDN’T ask me if I was picking up, which was weird because it wasn’t what one would expect, when you walk into a Wendy’s and go straight to “pick up order here” screen and stand under it, but I digress. order was pretty prompt after that, and the correctly did give me unsalted fries. however, they were definitely not crispy, and indeed a bit soggy. not a huge deal for me because I was just starving, but, notably under-par (I did not attempt to ask to have them remade). the chili cheese fries were a generous portion however, and nice and hot. the nuggets were not spicy like I’d ordered, and they did not mention this when giving me the order, nor offer any compensation (sauces, etc.). the straw, which I didn’t use, was folded in half?? see my photo. other than that, I had napkins, and a silverware packet for the topped fries, and when I went back to the counter (there was no longer a line) and asked for “some ghost pepper sauce” the cashier woman gave me four, which I’ve never had happen at a Wendy’s before, so that was nice. they’d already gotten me the drink I put on the order, but when I went back to get a refill, the freestyle machine was out of all of the “zero sugar” options, but they had a machine for drive through orders, that seemed to be more fully functional.

I’d like to say it’s a standard Wendy’s/fast food experience, but generally it’s gone downhill the moment it opened.

I’m not one to care for “customer service excellence” but between forgetting to give me utensils, giving me a different sauce than I asked for (and completely omitting that they were out of it until I went inside and asked), and literally giving me a side glare as the presumed manager handed me my order, just damn.

Really sucks, I don’t recommend going here, the managerial retention seems to be minimal (I see a new manager every six months) the employees clearly hate their jobs and while I get that’s also a customer sided thing, it’s not hard to keep employees from feeling burnt out at a fast food job, so management has to step it up on that level too.

– food was good, everything was hot and fresh.

– staff were friendly and service was quick.

– prices are normal for the area.

– plenty of parking.

– actually gave a good amount of sauce for the nuggets.

– overall a good first experience at this location.

Absolutely terrible experience. The staff couldn’t be bothered, and the store didn’t even have a working machine to scan codes, something so basic shouldn’t be broken. The food was disgusting: stale, with an old, dry bun that should never have been served. It’s clear management doesn’t care about quality or customer experience. This location is a joke, and I’ll never come back.

Happy to hear my family and I aren’t the only ones being abused by them lol. Typical classist DMV business; car customers before pedestrian customers.
